Doris is a young penguin.

She lives at the South Pole.

It is cold and snowy there.

Doris likes playing with the other animals.

They know many exciting（令人興奮的） games.

Doris isn’t afraid to try.

The snow bunny teaches Doris how to ice-skate.

Doris tries and tries.

“It is not difficult！” says Doris.

The octopus teaches Doris how to play table tennis.

It is very difficult， but Doris doesn’t give up（放棄）.

“I can do it，” says Doris.

The seal teaches Doris how to box.

Doris is brave and tries hard.

“It is so exciting！” says Doris.

Doris’s parents ask her to learn dance.

That’s what every penguin must learn.

Doris doesn’t want to be a dancer.

She doesn’t want to go to the dance school.

But she has to（不得不去）.

Doris joins the dance class.

Her dance teacher is kind.

Her classmates are friendly.

The first class is butterfly dance.

Doris tries hard to dance like a butterfly.

But she is not good at being a butterfly.

The next class is duckling dance.

Doris is not good at being a duckling， either.

The duckling dance is even harder（更難的） than the butterfly dance.

“I hate having to do things I’m not good at，” says Doris sadly.

“It takes time to learn new things，” says the octopus.

“Don’t give up，” says the seal.

“Just try your best，” says the snow bunny.

Doris begins to feel a little better.

She thanks her friends.

“I can do it，” says Doris.

The next class is bunny hop（兔子跳）.

Doris thinks about her friend， the snow bunny.

She learns how to dance like a bunny.

She is the best “bunny” in the class.

Then Doris practises（練習） dancing every day.

She can dance like a butterfly now.

She can dance like a duckling， too.

She becomes the best dancer in the class.

Doris teaches all the other animals how to dance.

All the animals love being dancers， except the seal.

“Don’t give up！” says Doris.

“It may be hard at first， but it gets easier.”
