Appreciating the Female Power of Chongqing A Visit at the “Mother’s Photo Exhibition” by Consular Officials in Chongqing

It is mother who give birth to us.Mother is a symbol of our nation and love.On December 21,2021,initiated by the Foreign Affairs Office of Yuzhong District and assisted by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal Government,consular community of the Philippines and the Netherlands in Chongqing,as well as foreign friends in Chongqing were invited to visit Chongqing Female Power · Mother Photo Exhibition (1921-2021)organized by Chongqing Female Talent Research Association and Chongqing Art Museum,and to feel the warm and strong power in mothers’ spirit.

生我們的那個(gè)人，就是母親，母親是民族和愛(ài)的象征。2021年12月21日，由渝中區(qū)外辦發(fā)起，市政府外辦協(xié)助邀請(qǐng)菲律賓、荷蘭等國(guó)駐渝領(lǐng)事官員、在渝外國(guó)友人走進(jìn)由重慶市女性人才研究會(huì)、重慶美術(shù)館主辦的“重慶女性力量·母親影像展（1921——2021）”，感受母親精神溫暖而強(qiáng)大的力量。

市政府外辦副主任張婭茜、渝中區(qū)政府外辦主任江永紅，菲律賓駐重慶總領(lǐng)事瑪友、荷蘭駐重慶總領(lǐng)事夫人包睦菲，英國(guó)商會(huì)代表、皇冠假日酒店總經(jīng)理富莎瑞，重慶萊佛士醫(yī)院總經(jīng)理Kelen Leong，重慶女性人才研究會(huì)會(huì)長(zhǎng)鄒小平、副會(huì)長(zhǎng)戴伶等參加活動(dòng)。

Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,women have played a significant and irreplaceable role.Themed as Female Power in Chongqing,the exhibition is arranged by timeline over the past century,namely from 1921 to 1949,1949 to 1978,1978 to 2018,and 2018 to present.Presenting photos over the past one hundred years,the exhibition aims to display the evolution of women’s roles and images in the changes of the time,and therefore to reflect the grand theme of the centennial of the Communist Party of China from a specific perspective.

“She is a martyr who lives in the prison on Gele Mountain and believes in sincerity and love of human beings;she is an incognito and diligent scientist who finally builds her fame in Asia;she is a member of the art troupe who crosses the Yalu River,plays allegro and sings;she is a leader of the catering team who protects everyone in difficulties;she is an ordinary female worker who braves adversities in an emergency;she is a reformer who stands up to the forefront,with bravery of thought,action and exploration;she is a hardworking teacher who stays active even in her 80s and 90s.” Vice Chairwoman Dai Ling tells the stories of the women in the photos.

“To be frank,this exhibition is not only to display photos but also to pay tribute to mother’s contribution over the past century.These are photos and videos recording the actual history.Some old photos are already broken and blurred which touches the softest part of our hearts.” Dai Ling said that this exhibition reviews the history our mother experienced,and the warm memory given by mother is a lifetime company to all of us.

新中國(guó)成立以來(lái)，在共產(chǎn)黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下，女性發(fā)揮了巨大的、不可替代的作用。此次展覽主題為“重慶女性力量”，以黨的百年華誕為時(shí)間軸，分別從1921——1949年、1949——1978年、1978——2018年、2018年至今4個(gè)時(shí)間段，在百年光影記憶中，展現(xiàn)女性在時(shí)代變遷中的角色與形象演變，以“母親”作為時(shí)代變遷的小切口，展現(xiàn)中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨百年華誕大主題。

她是身在牢房而堅(jiān)信“基于人類(lèi)的真誠(chéng)的愛(ài)”的歌樂(lè)英烈；她是隱姓埋名、殫精竭慮終成東方巨響的科學(xué)家；她是跨過(guò)鴨綠江，打快板、唱高歌的文工團(tuán)員；她是保障大家渡過(guò)難關(guān)的伙食團(tuán)長(zhǎng)；她是在緊急關(guān)頭挺身而出的平凡女工；她是勇立潮頭、敢想敢干、探索前行的改革者；她是耄耊之年且歌且吟的辛勤園丁……策展人戴伶娓娓講述照片中女性的故事。

“坦白講，這個(gè)展覽并不是純粹的影像藝術(shù)展，而是對(duì)百年來(lái)母親所付出的致敬展。它是紀(jì)實(shí)影像，尤其是一些老照片幾乎是殘破的、模糊的，但也正是這種時(shí)代感觸動(dòng)了我們內(nèi)心最柔軟的地方。”戴伶表示，這個(gè)展覽是對(duì)母親歷史的回望，這種內(nèi)心深處的溫暖，也是母親帶給我們每個(gè)人一生的記憶。
