（1）句中can是情態動詞，沒有人稱和數的變化，不能單獨作謂語，須與別的動詞原形共同構成謂語。

（2）play the guitar意為“彈吉他”。當play后跟樂器時，通常在樂器前加定冠詞the;但play后跟球類時，不加任何冠詞。

情態動詞can的用法

can是情態動詞，意為“能;會”，表示某人或某物具備的能力。沒有人稱和數的變化，后面接動詞原形。

I can speak English.

我會講英語。

can的句型變換：

（1）變為否定句：在情態動詞can后加not，其縮寫形式為cant。

She cant play the piano.

她不會彈鋼琴。

（2）變為一般疑問句：將情態動詞can提到句首。

肯定回答：Yes， 主語 + can.

否定回答：No， 主語 + cant.

—Can you speak Japanese？

你會說日語嗎？

—Yes， I can. / No， I cant.

是的，我會說。/ 不，我不會說。

（3）變為特殊疑問句：句型通常為“特殊疑問詞 + can + 主語 + 動詞原形（+ ...）？”。
