What does it mean to go green？ Going green means making certain lifestyle changes designed that help us live in a more eco-friendly way. It means becoming more environmentally aware， and changing our behavior and lifestyle to reduce the amount of pollution and waste we generate.

But， what should we actually do？ We can start with small things. For example， if you can walk from your home to your school in 15 minutes by foot， you should walk or ride to school—dont ask your parents to drive you to school！ Or after washing your hands， if you can dry them by using one piece of tissue， then use one—dont use two， three， or four. If you can pack your lunch in a lunch box that you can use again and again， then stick with the lunch box—dont use plastic lunch boxes that you can only use once. If you have finished playing on your computer， Xbox or iPad， you should turn them off—dont leave them on all the time！

但是我們到底應該怎么做呢？我們可以從小事做起。例如，若你家到你的學校只有15分鐘的步行距離，那你應該選擇走路或騎自行車上學，而不是讓父母開車送你去上學。或者在洗完手后，若只需一張紙巾就可擦干手，那你就用一張，不要再用第二、第三甚至第四張。若你能用可重復使用的餐盒來裝你的午飯，那就堅持使用，不要使用一次性塑料餐盒。如果你不想玩電腦、Xbox或iPad時，你應該關掉電源，不要讓它們一直處于待機狀態。

In short， any action you take that contributes to sustainable living has a positive impact on the environment. Everyone can make small lifestyle changes that make a difference for the earth and future generations.

8. Instead of throwing away old toys and games， donate them so they can be played with again.

9. Bring reusable bags when you shop at the supermarket or mall so that you dont need a plastic or paper bags.

10. When possible， use public transportation like the bus， subway， or train.

總而言之，任何可持續的生活行為都對我們的環境有益。每個人都能在生活方式上做出小小的改變，這樣就會對我們的地球和后代有著不同的意義。
