Let’s do something to save our environment. We all live on the earth. The earth is our home. We must take care of it. If we harm it， it will be angry and then we will have a terrible end. There are three problems which are pollution， disaster， and illness. It’s our duty to protect our environment. So we must plant more trees， protect plants， save energy， and reduce the pollution. We should ask our government to control the pollution from the factories. Protecting the nature is very important. It’s our duty to keep our environment clean and tidy.

If everyone makes a contribution to protecting the environment， the earth will become much more beautiful.

Nowadays people like traveling around the world because that can make them relax. When it comes to traveling ways， different people offer different opinions. Some like to travel alone， but some like to travel with their friends or parents. Travelling alone is good for enjoying more freedom， and traveling with others who have the same interest is a way to share happiness.

As for me， I prefer to travel with friends rather than travel alone， because we can deal with the possible problems and difficulties in the journey. If you are planning to travel， wish you to have a great trip！

My Ways of Learning English

My favorite subject is English. I was interested in it when I was little. The most important thing to learn it is that you must listen to the teacher carefully. Besides， I listen to the English news from VOA and BBC. While listening to the news， I write down everything I hear to learn expressions and also practice my hearing ability. When I find my reading is not poor， I begin to read English newspapers and English novels.

These are my ways of learning English. I’ll try my best to learn it well.

Learn to Express Thanks

As students， we should learn to express thanks. The society offers us a chance to receive good education. And our parents also support us to go to school. Our teachers teach us much knowledge， so we should thank them. We should also thank our friends because they give us courage and support when we are in trouble.

In the future， we should always be thankful to our society， parents， teachers and so on. At present， we should study hard and live a positive life.

Nowadays， after-class activities are becoming more and more popular in schools. Our school also has many kinds of after-class activities， such as English corner， basketball and swimming. I am interested in the English corner， because it can help me make some new friends there. If you also want to take part in after-class activities， I have some suggestions. You’d better choose the activities which are good for you or which you like.

English Online made a survey on what junior middle school students do in their spare time. Here is the result.

After school， 70% of them study， read books， or do homework at home. 5% watch TV and 10% play computer games.15% do sports or play outdoors with classmates or friends.

Things are much better than before， but still about 70% of students are busy studying in their spare time. Study is not the only important thing for students. Playing is important， too. By playing， students can keep healthy and learn things that they can’t get from books. So students need more time to do different kinds of activities.

How Should We Treat Foreign Festivals？

Nowadays， more and more foreign festivals are coming into China， such as Christmas Day， Valentine’s Day， and April Fool’s Day.

Some of these are attracting increasing attention year after year in China. So some people are worried whether these foreign festivals will replace the Chinese traditional festivals.

In my opinion， we should celebrate some meaningful foreign festivals because these help us Chinese get to know the culture of different countries.

I think we should love our own traditional festivals and never lose them. At the same time， why not try to introduce them to foreign countries？

Save Food and Eat Healthily

Our government has called on the people to save food and eat healthily so that we can enjoy a happy life. We middle school students should do something for it.

To save food， we should eat up all the food and never order more than we can eat while dining out. Remember that many people in the world don’t have enough to eat.

To eat healthily， we’d better not choose junk food. It’s good to eat a balanced diet. We’d better not eat in small restaurants because of the food and the oil they use are not clean or healthy enough. It’s a better choice to eat at school or at home.
