China-Ethiopia partnership

互信共榮，合力同輝！

中國與埃塞，亞非兩大文明古國，一個善于奔跑、一個極富耐力，在漫長的歷史長河中，兩國人民經過艱苦卓絕的努力，使兩國間的合作不斷加深，領域不斷擴展。

1964年，中華人民共和國首任總理周恩來首次訪問非洲選擇了埃塞俄比亞，受到埃塞政府和人民的熱情歡迎，為兩國友好關系拉開了大幕;1970年，中國與埃塞俄比亞正式建交，中埃關系開啟了新的篇章;

2003年，中國與埃塞俄比亞建立全面合作伙伴關系，中埃合作自此進入快車道，各領域友好互利合作成果豐碩。

世紀交替，歲月流轉。進入新的歷史階段，這樣的合作隨著一場場外交活動不斷加碼。2013年，中國國家主席習近平訪非期間專門同埃塞俄比亞總理舉行會晤。緊接著，2014年中國國務院總理李克強也將埃塞俄比亞作為任內首次非洲之行的首站。2018年，中非合作論壇北京峰會將兩國合作推向新的高度。

這樣的合作更隨著“一帶一路”建設的推進不斷升級，在兩國發展戰略的對接上，雙方實現了優勢互補、合作共贏。

這樣的合作，在亞吉鐵路、亞的斯亞貝巴城市輕軌等基礎設施領域;在東方工業園、阿瓦薩工業園、克林圖工業園等經濟領域;在教育合作、醫療救助等民生領域：在文化交流、旅游互補等合作領域不斷地落地落實中，夯實著兩國合作的地基。

這樣的合作，基于過往的友好，更基于今天的攜手。中埃合作，向著更美好的未來，奔跑吧！

Mutual-trust and synergy fuel common developmentand prosperity.

China and Ethiopia，two ancient civilizations in Asiaand Africa， one possesses strong momentum，and the otherenjoys great stamina in their development.In the long historythrough arduous struggle of two peoples，the China-Ethiopiaties have been deepened and expanded to more areas.

In 1964，Zhou Enlai，the first Premier of the People'sRepublic of China，visited Ethiopia during his first visitto Africa and was warmly welcomed by the Ethiopiagovernment and people， which unfolded the prelude offriendly relationship between the two countries.

In 1970，China and Ethiopia established formaldiplomatic relation，thus opening a new chapter for China-Ethiopia ties.

In 2003，China and Ethiopia established comprehensivepartnership of cooperation. Since then，China-Ethiopiacooperation has entered the fast track with fruitfulachievements in friendly and mutually beneficial cooperationin various fields.

As time passes by，the relationship has also entered ahistorical phase，which is further boosted through continuousbilateral diplomacy.In 2013，Chinese President Xi Jinpingheld a special meeting with Ethiopian prime minister duringhis visit to Africa.Then，in2014，Chinese Premier LiKeqiang also made Ethiopia the first stop of his Africantour.The 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation（FOCAC）promoted their bilateralpartnership to a new era.

As the Belt and Road Initiative keeps progressing，the bilateral partnership continues to be upgraded.Inthe alignment of their development strategies，Chinaand Ethiopia have realized complementary and win-wincooperation.

The cooperation flourishes in infrastructure construction，such as the Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway and Addis AbabaLight Rail;in economy area，such as Eastern Industry Zone，Hawassa Industrial Park and Kilinto Industrial Park;inpubilc well-being，such as education and medical assistance;as well as in the implementation of cultural exchangeand tourism cooperation，which further strengthened thefoundation of cooperation between the two countries.

The partnership is fueled by the long-standing friendshipin the past and today's hand-in-hand efforts.Going forwardto a brighter future，China-Ethiopia partnership.
