（1）favorite adj. & n. 特別喜愛的（人或事物）

Spring and autumn are my favorite seasons.

Blue was one of his favorite colors.

（2）subject n. 學科;科目

How many subjects do you have？

2. —Why do you like P.E.？

你為什么喜歡體育？

—Because its fun.

因為它有趣。

（1）Why是疑問副詞，意為“為什么”。對原因提問，答語用“because”引導的句子來回答。如：

Why do you go there？

你為什么去那里呢？

（2）because conj. 因為

—Why are your pants dirty？

你的褲子怎么那么臟？

—Because I played football this afternoon.

3. I like Monday because I have P.E. and history.

have的應用很廣泛，在不同的場合有不同的意思，可譯為“有;吃，喝;舉行，開（會）”等，加課程名詞表示“上課”。如：

4. Whos your P.E. teacher？

誰是你的體育老師？

Who是疑問代詞，它引導的特殊疑問句對人提問，意為“誰”。who作主語時，用“Who + 謂語 + 其他？”的句型。通常who被認為是第三人稱單數形式，謂語動詞要與其保持一致。如：

—Who helps you do homework？

誰幫助你做作業？

—Mary.

瑪麗。

用“Who + be + 主語？”的句型，系動詞be隨主語的數而變化，主語是第三人稱單數用is，主語是復數用are。如：

—Whos this man？

這個人是誰？

—Hes Jacks father.

他是杰克的父親。

—Who are these girls？

這些女孩是誰？

—They are Joan and Kate.

她們是瓊和凱特。

5. He always plays games with us.

他總是和我們一起玩游戲。

句中的play games with意為“和……一起玩游戲”。

play with sth/sb 與某物/某人玩

Kate likes to play with her dog after school.

She often plays with her children in the garden.

What，Who，Why，When引導的特殊疑問句

1. what引導的特殊疑問句

What引導的特殊疑問句對物進行提問，意為“什么”。如：

What is in your pocket？

你口袋里有什么？

What is that？

你來去自由。

These books are free.

這些書是免費的。

2. I am very busy on Friday.

我星期五非常忙。

（1）busy是形容詞，意為“忙的;繁忙”。如：

We are very busy now.

我們現在很忙。

He is a busy man.

他是個忙人。

注意：busy雖然有“忙”的意思，但busy只表示人“忙”，而不表示工作“忙”。所以主語一般用表示人的名詞或代詞，而不用work。

試譯：我父親的工作很忙。

My fathers work is very busy.（誤）

My father is very busy.（正）

busy 的常見短語：

be busy with sth? 忙于某事

He is busy with his homework.

他正忙著做家庭作業。

（2）介詞on意為“在……時候”，常用于星期、日期前。如：

I have a rest on Sunday.

星期天我休息。

He was born on the night of May 10th.

他出生在五月十日的晚上。

3. My classes finish at 1：50， but after that I have an art lesson for two hours.

我的課1點50分結束，但之后我還有一節兩個小時的美術課。

（1）finish v. 完成;做好;結束

What time does the meeting finish？

會議何時結束？

We need to finish our homework on time.

（2）lesson n. 課;一節課;教訓

I missed a lesson yesterday.

比較：lesson和class的區別

lesson和class在表示“學校的課”時，可通用，但在表示“課本中具體的某一課”和“某種技能、技巧性的課程”時，常用lesson;此外class有“班;班級”的含義。如：

Lesson Three is very interesting.

第三課很有趣。

We study English， Chinese， maths and other lessons.

我們學習英語、漢語、數學和其他課程。

I really care for the students in my class.

我的確喜歡我這個班上的學生。
