Yang Zhesan
Yang Zhesan, also known by his literary name Shiniu, was born in Chongqing in 1949.He is a lifelong honorary member of the academic committee of culture and art institute of Chinese and Foreign Celebrity Culture Research Association, and vice President of Chongqing Chinese Poetry and Painting Research Association. Yang Zhesan learned calligraphy with his father since he was a child. After turning 13, he started to learn calligraphy and painting together with prominent calligraphers, like Jiang Youqiao, Yan Jiyuan and Yang Zhuyi. He also participated in dozens of domestic and foreign calligraphy and painting exhibitions and won various awards multiple times.
"In my lifetime, painting is the only thing that I'm good at. " 70-year-old Yang Zhesan recalled. "I might look poor and down-andout, yet in fact, I'm quite satisfied with my life, for working as a painter not only has guaranteed my livelihood, but also offered me unbridled enjoyment of spirits. ”
During the past decade in which Yang Zhesan has been working as a painter, he has stayed committed to the rules set by his father: Strive to build integrity. Keep in mind that stunning paintings only come from a painter with ethical and moral integrity;Set goals before engaging yourself in art.
