薩摩亞小伙的重慶橄欖球時光

01 5 月11 日，陶菲亞率領游騎兵征戰廈門

2019 年5 月11 日，廈門鼓浪嶼。

一年一度的“鼓浪嶼杯”橄欖球俱樂部友誼賽激戰正酣。

陶菲亞貓著腰，伸出雙手，沖前方持球遇阻的隊友大喊：“Ball、Ball……”

隊友心領神會，往身后傳球。陶菲亞接球，在隊友掩護下變向突進，騰轉挪移，躲開一名防守隊員，再撞開另外一名防守隊員，在全場球迷吶喊聲中狂奔達陣，接著在草坪上俯沖滑行慶祝。

這是來重慶5 年的陶菲亞，繼去年5 月受中國國家橄欖球隊征召出征亞洲錦標賽之后，再度代表重慶游騎兵隊，斬獲俱樂部賽事最高榮譽。

He dodged a defense opponent, and smashed down another defense opponent. Then he run for a touchdown in cheering and shouting of all audience and celebrated by sliding on the lawn.

This is the second time that Tao Feiya, who has been in Chongqing for 5 years, led Chongqing Rangers to win the highest prize in club competition. In May last year, he was called up by China National Rugby Team to attend Asian Rugby Competition.

Majoring in Communications in Chongqing

陶菲亞出生在南太平洋島國薩摩亞，從小就表現出了很高的運動天賦，跑步、沙灘排球、沙灘足球……海邊的沙灘是他小時候最大的游樂場。7 歲時，他第一次接觸到橄欖球。

“橄欖球是薩摩亞最盛行、也是‘唯一’的運動項目。”在薩摩亞人看來，除了橄欖球，其他運動似乎都只是游戲。去澳大利亞和新西蘭打橄欖球職業聯賽，也成為很多當地人的出路。

陶菲亞從小也希望自己能走出國門。但他身體太單薄了，盡管他16 歲時的百米速度已經達到了10 秒，依然沒有球探看上他，“跑得再快也沒有用，他們需要速度和身體都很棒的球員。”

轉機出現在2012 年。薩摩亞政府選送一批公派留學生到中國，陶菲亞通過了考試，來到上海。

一年多的漢語學習期滿后，陶菲亞選擇了重慶郵電大學的通訊專業，“我們國家很重視通訊，家里人都覺得學這個有前途?！?/p>

南山上的重慶郵電大學，雨季時常籠罩在云霧之中。陶菲亞說重慶山水充滿靈氣，他這樣形容自己的學校：“山不在高，有仙則名；水不在深，有龍則靈?！?/p>

Born in Samoa, an island country on the South Pacific, Tao Feiya has shown a great gift for sports, such as running, beach volleyball, beach soccer etc. The beach by the sea was the biggest place for fun for little Tao Feiya. When he turned 7 years old, he touched rugby for the first time.

Tao, since he was a child, also expected to be able to play rugby abroad. However, he had a too weak physique. Although he could run 100 meters within 10 seconds when he was 16, there was still no scout who wanted to choose him. "It is useless even if you run pretty fast. They need players who perfectly combine speed with physique. ”

Situation has changed better in 2012. Samoan government chose a batch of government-sponsored students to study in China, and Tao Feiya was one of them. He passed the exam and came to Shanghai.

After learning Mandarin for over a year, Tao Feiya chose to major in Communications in Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, "People in my country attach high importance to communications, so my family all think that there will be a promising future if I major in it.”

Located at Nanshan Mountain of Chongqing, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications is frequently surrounded by cloud and fog in rainy seasons. Tao says that there is some spirit contained in mountains and waters in Chongqing. He once quoted a poem to describe his alma mater, "Mountains are famous for living saints and waters gains miraculous for residing dragons.”

Representing China to Attend Asian Rugby Competition

不論是在上海還是重慶，陶菲亞一直在苦尋一起玩橄欖球的人。

03 5 月11 日，3 名小學員陪著陶菲亞奪金杯

2013 年底，在重慶的一場橄欖球比賽中，陶菲亞結識了夏嘉良，兩人一見如故。

“夏KingKong（金剛）非常強壯靈活?！毕募瘟忌砀?82cm，體重90 公斤，這讓陶菲亞很羨慕。

“夏嘉良之前有一支叫征服者的橄欖球隊，很多老外?！碧辗苼喗ㄗh普及橄欖球，吸收更多的中國人加入，于是兩人一起組建了以中國人為主的球隊——山行者。

2016 年，在征服者和山行者球隊的基礎上，游騎兵俱樂部正式誕生。而陶菲亞，則成為這支俱樂部球隊的主教練。

在重慶的日子，陶菲亞隨時都在提醒自己，要變得更強壯。兩年時間，陶菲亞從75 公斤的小鮮肉，變成了91 公斤的壯漢?！拔乙呀洺^了夏，這讓我非常開心。”

2018 年2 月，重慶市首屆橄欖球錦標賽圓滿落幕，游騎兵毫無爭議地奪得冠軍。5 月，全國10 人制橄欖球錦標賽，夏嘉良和陶菲亞率隊首奪全國冠軍。

隨后，兩人同時獲得中國國家橄欖球隊征召，出征在文萊舉辦的亞洲錦標賽。

04 在暑期集訓營與孩子們打成一片

No matter in Shanghai or Chongqing, Tao is always looking for someone who he can play rugby with.

At the end of 2013, Tao Feiya met Xia Jialiang during a rugby match in Chongqing. They became intimate immediately since they met each other.

"Xiao KingKong (Xia Jialiang) is very strong and agile. "Xia Jialiang is 1.82 meters high and weighs 90 kilograms, making Tao much too enamored.

"Xia Jialiang used to have a rugby team that has a lot of foreigners called Conquerers." Tao suggested popularizing rugby across China to attract more and more Chinese to play rugby. Therefore, they two established a rugby team consisting of mainly Chinese called Moutainers.

The Rangers Club was officially established in 2016 based on the Conquerers and Mountainers. And Tao became the head coach of this club team.

When staying in Chongqing, Tao reminds himself everyday of being stronger and stronger. In just two years, he has converted himself from a young boy weighing 75 kilograms to a strong man weighing 91 kilograms. "I have surpassed Xia, which makes me super happy.”

In February, 2018, Rangers swept all other teams to win the first prize in the 1st Chongqing Rugby Competition. In May, Xia and Tao led their team to win the first prize in National Tens 2018 Rugby Tournament.

Later on, they both were called upon by China National Rugby team to attend the Asian Rugby Competition.

留在重慶教橄欖球

Staying in Chongqing to Teach Rugby

“在薩摩亞找一份工作不容易。但在重慶，教橄欖球和英語，都是非常不錯的工作。”陶菲亞畢業后決定留在中國，留在重慶，做一名橄欖球教練。

與帶成人隊相比，陶菲亞更喜歡教孩子打橄欖球。天生的親和力，讓他跟所有的孩子都能很快打成一片。

前些年，在巴蜀小學藍湖郡校區，陶菲亞每周要去上一次橄欖球體驗課。孩子們上完課后，總喜歡爬到他身上，摸摸他的卷發和渾身的“肉疙瘩”。

現在每周末，陶菲亞還會到石子山體育公園游騎兵俱樂部，給4～16 歲各個年齡段的孩子們上橄欖球課。

去年暑期，來自全國各地的幾十名中學生，在字水中學進行橄欖球集訓。5 名河北的隊友臨走時，提出要陶菲亞在他們的球衣上簽名。

“居然找我要簽名，太瘋狂了！”陶菲亞感受到了從未有過的明星禮遇。

"It is hard to find a job in Samoa. But in Chongqing, teaching rugby and English turn out to be a good job. " Tao Feiya decided to stay in Chongqing after graduation to become a rugby coach.

He prefers teaching kids to play rugby than teaching adults. His inborn affinity for kids makes him extremely popular among children.

Some years earlier, he went to Lanhujun Campus of Bashu Primary School to teach rugby once a week. Every time after his class, kids always climbed onto him and touched his curly hair and muscles all over his body.

Now he still goes to Rangers Club in Shizishan Sports Park to teach rugby for kids ranging from 4 years old to 16 years old.

Last summer vacation, dozens of middle school students from all over China came to Yushui Middle School for rugby training. When 5 teammates from Hebei Province left, they asked Tao if he could sign his name on their jerseys.

"They asked for my signature? That was insane!" He has experienced what a superstar experiences, which he didn't at all before.

Winning the Club Golden Cup

陶菲亞喜歡教孩子，小學員們也跟他建立了深厚的感情。

今年5 月，陶菲亞告訴孩子們，自己要去廈門鼓浪嶼參加比賽，結果蔓蔓、星宇和紫嫣這三個孩子“死纏爛打”，要跟著去見證自己的教練奪得金杯。

5 月11 日，廈門鼓浪嶼人民體育場，經過一整天的比賽，決出了該賽事自創的杯、盆、茶壺、砂鍋四個級別冠軍。杯級決賽中，以重慶隊為班底，中外運動員各一半的游騎兵俱樂部，以26：7 的絕對優勢戰勝上海銀龍奪冠。

按賽事傳統，獲勝隊伍要在頒獎儀式上喝光相應容器中的啤酒。當陶菲亞高舉起那個盛滿了5 升啤酒的金杯開懷暢飲時，三個孩子都驚呆了。

他們從未見過如此激烈的橄欖球比賽，也從未見過如此勇猛無比的教練，更沒有想到獎杯竟然是拿來盛啤酒的?！胺苼喗叹?，這個金杯是誰喝完誰拿走嗎？”孩子們的問題讓所有人爆發出開心的笑聲。

05 廈門鼓浪嶼奪金杯

“我希望重慶也能舉辦這樣的橄欖球賽。”顯然，陶菲亞玩得意猶未盡，“特別是讓更多的孩子能親身感受橄欖球的魅力。”

陶菲亞說重慶的英式和美式橄欖球都奪得過全國冠軍，這說明重慶人堅韌有毅力，骨子里的闖勁兒很適合橄欖球這項運動。

“Rugby children just want to have fun.”這成了陶菲亞留在重慶的絕佳理由，“我要留在重慶，讓更多的孩子學會橄欖球，感受快樂！”

Tao loves to teach kids who also have forged great relationships with their coach.

In May this year, he told the kids that he would go to Gulangyu Island, Xiamen to attend a Tournament. As a result, three kids named Manman, Xingyu, and Ziyan kept asking to witness his coach to win the Golden Cup.

On May 11, at Gulangsu People's Stadium in Xiamen, four levels of prizes, including Cup, Basin, Teapot and Casserole, were awarded after whole-day competitions. In the final, the Rangers Club, which is based on Chongqing Rugby Team with half Chinese and half foreigners, swept Shanghai Silver Dragons at 26:7, winning the Golden Cup, i.e., the first prize.

A c c o r d i n g t o t h e T o u r n a m e n t tradition, the winning team is supposed to drink up all beer in the vessel they win in prize-awarding ceremony. When Tao chugged the 5L beer in the Golden Cup, all three kids were stunned.

They have never watched such an intense rugby match, such a bold and powerful coach. And it never occurred to them that the trophy is used to drink beer! "Coach Feiya, is the trophy taken by who drinks the beer in it?" The kids' question made everyone burst in laughter.

"I wish that the same kind of rugby competition can happen in Chongqing." Obviously, Tao still likes the fun, "Especially you can make more kids to personally experience the charm of rugby.”

Tao says that both Chongqing Rugby Team and Chongqing American Football Team have won national champions, indicating that Chongqing people are firm. The tenacity in their blood makes them super fit for rugby.

"Rugby children just want to have fun." This has become the best reason for Tao Feiya to stay in Chongqing, "I'm gonna stay in Chongqing, making more kids learn how to play rugby and experience happiness! ”
