A Brief Analysis of the Application and Challenges of the Internet of Things

Abstract:With the rapid development of information technology,many technologies have been developed and applied,and these technologies are also facing various challenges.The emergence of the Internet of things is one of the products of the development and progress of the times.The core content of the Internet of things is the combination of real life with the network,so that life and the network are closely related,so that the network is no longer just a virtual world,that is,bring the network into real life.The application of Internet of things technology has changed people's daily life style,making study,work and life more convenient,therefore,it is very worthwhile to discuss and analyze the Internet of things technology.This paper discusses the application direction of Internet of things technology in the process of development.

Internet of things technology is a new technology,it has entered into people's life.It connects people's daily life with the Internet.People can connect everything they want to be connected by using the Internet.The application and popularization of this technology not only improves people's quality of life,but also promotes the development of modernization.This paper discusses the combination of Internet of things technology and 5G network,analyzes the application of Internet of things technology in urban construction and education,and discusses the problems of network security and personal privacy exposure,and suggests to face up to the new situation and new challenges.

I.The Application Direction of Internet of Things Technology

(i)The Combination of 5G Mobile Communication Technology and Internet of Things Technology has promoted the Development of Internet of Things Technology

At present,5G mobile communication technology has become the technology of current concern,because no matter from 5G technology itself,or from the impact of 5G technology,this technology has become the inevitable trend of development.The purpose of the combination of 5G technology and Internet of things technology is to better achieve the expected goal of the Internet of things technology.The demand of the Internet of things is to combine many things with the network to make life more convenient.The characteristic of 5G mobile communication technology is that the speed of network communication is extremely fast,much faster than the current 4G technology,which is growing exponentially.5G technology solves a series of problems in the communication process because of its fast network communication speed.Compared with the current latest communication technology,it has made great progress,which is by leaps and bounds.The technology of Internet of things is to combine various things with the network.Therefore,there is a problem of network speed.The faster the network speed is,the better the effect of connection drive is,that is,the Internet of things will work better.In other words,it is the rapid development of 5G technology that provides convenient conditions for the development of Internet of things technology.In fact,the good combination of 5G technology and Internet of things technology achieves a win-win situation between them,making the two technologies mutually serve as the power source of their development.

(ii)The Extensive Application of Internet of Things Technology in Urban Construction

Internet of things technology can play a great role in urban construction,especially in various aspects of security,the use of intelligent furniture appliances,there are different aspects of application,promote the development of urban construction.

Specifically,the security problem is mainly reflected in the establishment of perfect household identity information through the Internet of things technology and ensure the authenticity of the information,so as to protect the rights and interests of individuals.When used,the system will input the identity information into the identification system in advance.When getting pass the authentication,you can get in quickly and easily without any other means.When someone else tries to get in without being authenticated,they are shown an identity error and denied access.It is better to understand in the field of intelligent household appliances.In the past,we had to operate any electrical appliance on the spot.However,the application of Internet of things technology can liberate people from this situation and facilitate flexible use of time.Using a long-distance electronic remote control device to interconnect with appliances in home can control the use of a few equipment at home when in the place outside the house very easily.In the past,the utilization of a lot of energy was not as much as expected,and some energy equipment could not work normally because the traditional detection was not in place.After using the Internet of things technology,some situations can be detected in real time.The collected data can also be directly analyzed and uploaded,so that the problem of energy consumption can be understood,and the unnecessary energy consumption can be consciously reduced to make the equipment work properly.

(iii)The Application of Internet of Things Technology in Education

Education is the foundation of a centennial plan.With the rapid development of information technology,the application of network teaching and digital teaching mode makes the Internet of things technology in education has been well reflected and developed.Internet of things technology can be used to establish online education supervision platform and learning platform,constantly monitor and analyze,and introduce online data into daily teaching life.For example,in the developed teaching management platform system,it is also possible to establish a management system to supervise tardiness,and to timely complete and upload these data by using the Internet of things technology,so as to facilitate the management of teaching affairs and student work.

II.The Challenges of the Internet of Things

(i)The Problem of Network Security

The development of Internet of things technology has promoted the improvement of modernization,but in the course of development,there will inevitably be problems of one kind or another.The problem of network security is particularly serious.Because the Internet of things technology cannot be separated from the network,various problems of network security will also be reflected in the application level of Internet of things technology.As the first priority in any network related technology development and innovation,network security must be taken seriously,and find effective solutions aiming at a variety of problems.For example,the circumstance like network virus attack demand us to raise the firewall index of the network,undertake to check of whole network antivirus periodically,update antivirus software and virus library regularly.Strengthen selfprotection awareness,do not browse dangerous and risky websites,do not click on all kinds of unfamiliar network links and so on.No matter what kind,the ultimate goal is to use the Internet of things technology at the same time the security of the network can be consciously ensured to the maximum extent.In this way,while maintaining network security,it can further protect its own security and ensure that after the network is connected to reality,it can also be in a safe position in reality.In order to make the Internet of things technology has better development,we must try to ensure network security,reduce the emergence of problems.

(ii)Privacy Issues of Users

With the extensive development of modern technology and application,people tend to pay more attention to personal privacy,and loopholes in the network will lead to the exposure of personal information.The vast majority of users worry about whether their personal privacy will be leaked more or less when they surf the Internet.The promotion and use of Internet of things technology increases the possibility of personal privacy being leaked to some extent.Because after the combination of network and real things,there will be loopholes at the junction of the combination,forming an attack point that is easy to attack,making the whole Internet of things very easy to be infringed.Once violated,the first thing to be exposed is the personal information that leaves footprints and traces on the site of this junction.The outflow and disclosure of such personal information will easily produce unpredictable consequences.When criminals steal personal identity information,they will enter the Internet of things system,carry out damage in all aspects,and even control things around them,causing extremely bad consequences.Therefore,the protection of personal privacy must be strengthened and vigilance must not be let down.In addition,it is also necessary to constantly improve the awareness of personal privacy protection,to use the Internet of things technology,enjoy the convenience brought by the Internet of things technology,at the same time,to protect themselves to the greatest extent.

(iii)How to Better Manage the Internet of Things

Management problem is the problem that all kinds of industry technology must face after developing.Especially for newer technologies like the Internet of things,management is a tricky issue.Since there is no similar experience in this field before,it is difficult to carry out effective management.Although it is sometimes useful,it still needs to be explored in order to find the management method that is really suitable for the development of this technology.In terms of the Internet of things technology,management should at least be able to separate the network from the reality,and also be able to effectively combine them,to ensure that the combination of the two will produce a good management effect.Systematize and regularize management,set up related management platform and system,set up specialized management organization,set up professional management personnel for effective management.

III.Conclusion

Nowadays,the Internet of things technology has been integrated into every aspect of our life.No matter it is the combination with 5G technology,which has attracted much attention,or the application in urban construction and education,it is relatively mature.But there are problems with this new technology.In particular,the issue of network security and personal privacy is relatively serious,and we should pay enough attention to it.With the continuous update and development of the Internet of things technology,there will be better solutions to solve these problems.Any new technology will face different challenges,nothing is impossible as long as you face it positively.We believe that the prospects of the Internet of things technology will become better and better.
