Finally You Can Have'Breakefast' at Tiffany

It may have taken more than half a century, but the worldfamous New York jewellery store has finally made good on the promise of being able to have"Breakfast at Tiffany's".

A cafe has opened in the Manhattan store fifty-six years after the 1961 romantic comedy fi lm of the same name.

Naturally, it's called the Blue Box Cafe - in honour of①in honour of 為紀念；為慶祝the brand's famous packaging - and the colour theme may be familiar to regular customers.Dressed in a black Givenchy dress and pearls,Hepburn made a fashion statement that Tiffany believes still resonates②resonate 英 ['rez(?)ne?t] 美 ['r?z?'net]vt. 共鳴；共振 vi. 共鳴；共振with shoppers.

It is designed for"customers who have always dreamed of having Breakfast at Tiffany," the company said in a statement.

Social media buzzed③buzz 英 [b?z] 美 [b?z] vt. 使嗡嗡叫vi. 作嗡嗡聲n. 嗡嗡聲, 網絡口碑with the choices, which include truffle④truffl e 英 ['tr?f(?)l] 美 ['tr?fl ]n. [植] 松露；塊菌；松露巧克力糖eggs, buttermilk waffles and vegan avocado toast.

To get to the cafe, you walk past rows of diamonds on the main floor of Tiffany to a concierge-attended elevator. Its tiny walls are lined with photos of the brand's wares, including its new line of tea cups and plates,giving you a sneak peak of the cafe's table settings.

When the elevator dings and you arrive, you're greeted by a woman who chimes, "Welcome to the fabulous fourth fl oor."

But don't expect to waltz⑤waltz 英 [w??l(t)s; w?l-] 美 [w?lts]vi. 跳華爾茲舞；旋轉；輕快地走動right in. "We don't take reservations yet, unfortunately,"says a dining manager. So to claim your spot in the cafe, which seats 40 people, you may need to line up as early as 5 am. Early risers who wait in line are given a time to return later in the day.

Breakfast costs $29 and starts with coffee or tea and a croissant⑥croissant 英 [krwɑ?s??] 美 [kr??sɑnt]n. 羊角面包；[法]新月形面包or fruit. Then it's your choice of avocado toast, a buttermilk waffle, truffle eggs or smoked salmon and a bagel.

Lunch costs $39 and includes starters such as mushroom soup and black bass crudo, with main dishes like the "Charles Lewis Tiffany" sandwich or the "Fifth Avenue Salad" with Maine lobster⑦lobster 英 ['l?bst?] 美 ['lɑbst?] n. 龍蝦and grapefruit.

If fancy treats are more your style, Tiffany Tea comes with a threetiered plate of fi nger sandwiches and mini-desserts for $49.

Many dessert items are a visual treat, incorporating Tiffany& Co's statement blue.
