30 years of Jigao brings benefit to a city, 20 years of Tianzhu changes an industry

On June 8th, the Industry Chain Symposium on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Hebei Jigao Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. and the 20th anniversary of the birth of Tianzhu Fiber was solemnly held in Shijiazhuang City themed on “Expressing Gratitude for the Past Thirty Years, Jointly Creating A New Silk Road”.

Over 400 people attended the symposium, including Gao Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary-General of China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), Yang Jun, Deputy Secretary General of CNTAC and Executive Vice President of China Textile Enterprise Association, Liu Changrong,Deputy Director of Jilin SASAC, Fang Tiezhu, Head of Capital Operation Office of Jilin SASAC, Cheng Longdi, Executive Deputy Director of Key Laboratory of Textile Science & Technology, Ministry of Education, Donghua University, Xie Liren, Assistant Director of Industry Transfer Office of China National Textile And Apparel Council, Song Dewu, Chairman and General Manager of Jilin Chemical Fiber Group,relevant leaders of District Committee and District Government of Gaocheng, previous leaders of Jigao,resident cadres in Jigao and aid worker representatives, suppliers, downstream production company representatives, industrial chain partners, etc.

The symposium kicked off in the curtain of the documentary “The Footprint of Innovation” of Jigao Chemical Fiber’s 30th anniversary. First of all,Li Gengshun, Director of the People’s Congress of Xiangcheng District, Shijiazhuang City, delivered a welcome speech. He pointed out that Gaocheng District Government has conducted 30 years of friendly cooperation with Jilin Chemical Fiber. Song Dewu,Chairman of Jilin Chemical Fiber has been working in Gaocheng for 6 years, and has devoted great efforts and energy into the development of Jigao Chemical Fiber, making Jigao Chemical Fiber the leading enterprise with the highest output value and the best benefits in Gaocheng District. Over the past 30 years,Jigao Chemical Fiber has never forgot its responsibilities and mission and made indelible contributions to Gaocheng District in terms of providing employment,urban heating, environmental protection, economic construction and innovative development, etc. During the transformation and upgrading of the company,Gaocheng District Government joined hands with Jilin Chemical Fiber to add 65,000 spindle yarns, expand and transform two 75-ton boilers, eliminate 60,000 tons of pulp production lines and invest in constructing the project of 60,000 tons of differentiated acrylic fibers, and as a result, Jigao's output value was doubled, energy consumption and pollutant emission was reduced by 90% year on year, labor productivity per capita was increased by 2.5 times, its environmental protection control indexes were highly recognized by the state’s Ministry of Environmental Protection and it also became an environmental protection benchmark enterprise in Shijiazhuang. Today, the deep processing project of 30, 000 tons of acrylic fibers that has been initiated by the “Project Cooperation Agreement on the Technological Upgrading of 20,000 Tons of Degradable Bio-based Continuous Spinning Differential Filaments” to be signed and the “carbon fiber industrial park project with an investment of 2.5 billion yuan” have become the new economic growth points of Jogao Company and will definitely make outstanding contributions for the economic prosperity of Jilin and Gaocheng.

Later, Liu Changrong, Deputy Director of Jilin City’s SASAC,pointed out in the speech that Jigao has become a representative of entity enterprises with primary influence in Gaocheng. Her builders of the past dynasties have witnessed “Jigao power” of brave and persistent progress by seizing opportunities, advocating struggle and making steady progress to achieve great goals. It is most possible to clearly see the historical trend best by summing up the past; and only when conforming to the times and seizing the opportunity can we grasp the direction of the road ahead.Jigao’s 30 years of steady progress and forging ahead and its spirit of struggling and striving for success will bring us many beneficial inspirations.

At the symposium, Gao Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary General of CNTAC made a key speech. He reviewed the tremendous achievements and outstanding contributions of China’s textile industry over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, and suggested that in 2017, the total processing volume of fiber in China was 54.3 million tons, nearly 20 times that of 2.76 million tons in 1978 and accounting for more than half of the total processing volume of fiber in the world.Secretary Gao Yong stated that Jilin Chemical Fiber has always been the benchmark and banner of the industry and highly praised Jilin Chemical Fiber’s contribution in the industry. In his view, at present, the fiber industry urgently needs to develop high-performance fiber and high-quality fiber, biomass fiber and renewable fiber. He is very optimistic about the market prospect of Tianzhu fibers, yarns and differential acrylic fibers, and hopes that Jigao can firmly seize the opportunity to forge ahead.

Song Dewu, Chairman and General Manager of Jilin Chemical Fibre Group delivered a keynote speech. He fully affirmed the achievements of Jigao in the past 30 years, and pointed out that over 30 years of Jigao’s development, from formation to expansion, from single to diversified,from raw materials to terminals, it has achieved sustainable development and extension, which demonstrates vigorous development in every aspect.Over the past 30 years, several generations of Jigao people have worked hard outside regardless of wind and rain and passed down from generation to generation, and they have finally opened up a magnificent road of innovation and development by virtue of the pioneering spirit of cutting paths through the mountains and build bridges across the rivers and the persistent tenacity that water constantly dripping wears holes in stone.

Over 30 years of development, Jigao has developed from a cotton pulp factory with a production capacity of 10,000 tons into a comprehensive enterprise with the total assets of 1.94 billion yuan, the area of 698 mu and the comprehensive production capacity of 100,000 tons that owns the three holding subsidiaries of Hebei Tianzhu Textile Technology Co., Ltd.,Hebei Aikerui Fiber Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Tianzhu Ecological Clothing Co., Ltd. and a joint stock company of Hunan Tuopu Pileostegia Root Co., Ltd., and integrates the manufacturing of Tianzhu fiber, manufacturing and development of acrylic fiber, processing of colored spun yarns, pulp production, promotion of terminal clothes, combined heat and power generation and residential heating as a whole, which is the wisdom and strength of all.

Jigao Chemical Fiber, as the production base of highest-quality viscose raw materials of Jilin Chemical Fiber, has made an indelible contribution for Jilin Chemical Fiber’s “Baishan” brand fiber to enjoy worldwide reputation. As the nearest outside subsidiary to Jilin Chemical Fiber, Jigao has fully given play to the role of “product research and development,market development and bamboo fiber testing”, and driven to establish Sichuan Tianzhu Co., Ltd. and Hunan Tuopu Pileostegia Root Co., Ltd., and made outstanding contributions for the implementation of the group's strategic layout of “viscose proceed northward, pulp goes southward and acrylic fibers advance westward”. Du Rongnian, General Manager of China Hengtianhan Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. delivered a speech on behalf of the clients; Ma Haoran,General Manager of Shenzhen Beilishuang and Consultant of Tianzhu League, described his past relationship with Tianzhu Fiber; Cheng Longdi,Executive Deputy Director of Key Laboratory of Textile Science & Technology, Ministry of Education, Donghua University, made an explanation,and colleagues from all walks of life gave a generous speech and jointly reviewed the 20-year development course of Tianzhu with the sand painting, namely “Zhuyun Jigao - The 20th Anniversary of the Birth of Tianzhu Fiber”, which has aroused the resonance of all participants.

At the meeting, Gaocheng District Government and Jigao entered into “Project Cooperation Agreement on the Technological Upgrading of 20,000 Tons of Degradable Bio-based Continuous Spinning Differential Filaments”; Jilin Fiber signed the “Letter of Intent for Cooperation in Carbon Fiber Products” and “Strategic Cooperative Agreement on the Industry Chain of Acrylic Fibers” respectively with carbon fiber customers and supplier customers, pushing the meeting to a climax. The successful completion of the signing ceremony suggests that natural, green and environmental functional biomass filaments will settle in Jigao Chemical Fiber, marking the accelerating pace of the strategic cooperation and development of Jigao, enhancing the core competitiveness of Jigao Chemical Fiber, promoting the transformation and upgrading of the enterprise and achieving the substantial development of carbon fiber products in Hebei Province, and initiating a new era of Jigao’s development.

In the industry chain symposium themed on “New Elements, New Ideas, New Tianzhu” in the afternoon,participants present at the meeting conducted in-depth exchanges in respect of new Tianzhu, Zhuli’er fiber,acrylic fiber, Zhuli’er colored yarns, building inventory and reducing cost, development of carbon fiber industry parks and the four sections of Jigao’s innovative development, jointly explored the future development of the industry, and discussed the overall planning for cooperation and development. The participants of Jigao Chemical Fiber expressed that they will spare no effort to provide customers with the best-quality products and services to achieve a win-win situation and jointly promote the innovative development of the textile industry.
