Preface:Selected papers from The 7th Global Chinese Chemical Engineers Symposium

The 7th Global Chinese Chemical Engineers Symposium was held in Tianjin,China on July 12–15,2015.The symposium was hosted by the Collaborative Innovation Center of Chemical Science and Engineering(Tianjin),and School of Chemical Engineering&Technology,Tianjin University.It was co-organized by the National Engineering Research Center for Distillation Technology and the State Research Center of Industrialization for Crystallization Technology.The aims of the symposium are to discuss the international chemical engineering education and frontiers of scientific researches together,disseminate chemical knowledge and technology,push international exchanges and cooperation,promote the academic prosperity and collaborative innovation of Chemical Engineering,and improve the global influence of Chinese chemical scientists,which helped the global Chinese record breakthrough and achievements in the field of chemical.Nearly 200 experts or scholars from all over the world in the field of chemical have attended the symposium,of which more than 60 domestic or foreign experts have made reports.

By common consent on important and contemporary topics,we invited experts in the field of environmental protection,resources and energy technologies to publish high quality research articles after the symposium.This special issue mainly covers desulfurization of liquid hydrocarbon fuels,crystallization,ionic liquid,novel riser reactor,catalytic reaction,silver nanocages,BaF2Nanocrystals,threeliquid-phase extraction, hierarchical porous MgBO2(OH)microspheres,high-gravity technology,photocatalytic degradation,selective aerobic oxidation,Hollow fiber NaA zeolite membranes,SiO2Nanoplates,computer-aided molecular selection and design for phenol extractant,reactive dividing wall column and microwave intensified oil sand pyrolysis process.
