TMR Non-Drug Therapy: the modernization of non-drug therapy

After several months of preparation, we are excited that Traditional Medicine Research (TMR)Non-Drug Therapy, an English electronic international academic journal in the field of non-drug treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, has been finally launched. Here, on behalf of TMR Non-Drug Therapy team, I would like to acknowledge all the members of the TMR editorial board for their great support and help.

Non-drug therapy of traditional Chinese medicine is the brilliant crystallization of the excellent culture of China. As early as the third century B.C., non-drug therapies including acupuncture, behavioral treatment and meditation was used to treatment various diseases, which is recorded in Huangdineijing. With the transformation of biological therapy model into social psychophysiological model, non-drug therapy has become increasingly popular among people of all countries in the world and is playing an irreplaceable role in the complex treatment of diseases. In addition, high expenditures as well as the potential complications and accumulative toxicity of drug therapy are the main reasons which speed up this tendency.

With the rapid development of medicine and biomedical technique, the safety and effectiveness of non-drug therapy of traditional medicine has become the focus. Our journal will commit to the interpret the classical information with the modernization of traditional medicine as well as integrate traditional medicine with modern western medicine. Areas that are relevant to acupuncture, massage, exercise and behavioral therapy, psychotherapy and meditation,physiotherapy, diet and nutrition therapy are of interest. We encourage you to submit your high quality manuscripts to this new journal, and we warmly welcome the active participation of domestic or international experts with the background of traditional or modern medicine in the production of our journal.
