GUANGZHOU-CAIRNS SERVICE LAUNCHED

南航開通凱恩斯航線

On December 4th, 2017, a new service between Guangzhou and Cairns will be launched by China Southern Airlines.

Cairns is the sixth destination from the Chinese Mainland to Australia, following Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane,and Adelaide, as well as the eighth destination to Australasia. The new thriceweekly Guangzhou-Cairns service will be operated by Airbus A330-300.

On November 9th, 2017, China Southern's micro fi lms quot;A Veteran's Promisequot; and quot;The Quietest Flightquot;grabbed Bronze Prize in the 2017 Greater China Effi e Awards.

Founded in New York in 1968, the Effi e Awards are recognised by global advertising owners and agents as an outstanding marketing and communication industry award.

CHINA SOUTHERN TAKES STRANDED PASSENGERS HOME FROM BALI ISLAND

On November 27th, 2017, The Ngurah Rai International Airport at Bali lsland was temporarily closed due to the erupting Mount Raung volcano. Tens of thousands of Chinese citizens were stranded at the airport. Two days later, when the airport was shortly opened, China Southern immediately dispatched two A330s to Bali, and took hundreds of chinese citizens back home.

43 TONS OF FUEL DUMPED TO SAVE A PASSENGER

On November 3rd, 2017, a woman was suddenly struck by sickness and couldn't control bleeding on the CZ600 fl ight from New York to Guangzhou. The crew immediately gave her fi rst aid treatment,reported the captain, while broadcasting to fi nd a doctor. As the passenger went into critical condition, the captain decided to dump 43 tons of fuel within 20 minutes,to be able to land at an alternative airport Iceland Kefl avik Airport. The passenger's life was saved as she was taken to hospital in time.

On November 10th, 2017, China Southern Airlines won the award of Asia's most outstanding airline award at quot;Now Travel Asia Awardquot; ceremony, hosted by Asia's high-end tourism media Now Travel Asia. At this event, China Southern also introduced the airline's network and special services to the present media.

On November 17th-19th, 2017, the China International Tourism Fair was held in Kunming. The China International Tourism Fair is the largest professional tourism fair in Asia at present. China Southern attended the fair with the theme of quot;All the way for youquot;, and won the award ofquot;excellent organisationquot;. China Southern's booth, with its modern visual effect,designed by China Southern Air Media Co Ltd has drawn numerous visitors during the Fair.
