On September 3, 2016, Singapore Prime Minister,Mr. Lee Hsien Loong and a number of ministers and business representatives from Singapore has visited Chongqing Raffles City as well as the experience center of the project at the heart of Chaotianmen at the intersection of Liangjiang. As Singapore’s largest single project invested in China, Chongqing Raffles City plays an important role in the new cooperation between China and Singapore, which has been greatly expected by the two sides.

Chongqing Raffles City, also known as Chaotian Sailing, will not only become the landmark of Chongqing after its completion, but will also vigorously promote the internationalization process of Chongqing.With the blasting of Chaotianmen landmark building in August 2012, this landmark has officially entered the construction phase. The crystal bridge symbolizing Chongqing “ladder” appearance will connect the four towers. The design of towers originates from the shipping culture of Chongqing accumulated in thousands of years. The towers are connected with Chaotianmen Square as a whole, which seems like a “wheel”, meaning sailing against the wind,and stressing that the long history of Chongqing as a business hub. The architect of this building is a Canadian architect, Moses Safdie. On July 11,2017, the Canadian Governor, David Johnston has proposed to visit Chongqing Raf fl es City when he was accompanied by the group to visit Chongqing.

At present, the four banks of the two rivers are exposed to the majestic momentum of this project. This project will be used as a model for commercial development projects becoming parts of the city and will contribute to the rise of Chongqing. With Chaotianmen as Chongqing’s “front hall”, this project will become the driving force and centripetal force for transforming the urban center of Chongqing, as well as the symbol of Chongqing imprinted on the world.

“Cloud Computing” has been seen as the fourth IT industry revolution following major computers, personal computers and the Internet. At present, major countries in the world have incorporated the development of cloud computing industry into the national strategy. What’s more, Chongqing is also vigorously building a national offshore data processing center. In recent years,Chongqing cloud computing industry has attracted customers all around the world, and a large number of foreign investors have entered Chongqing and established offshore data centers by virtue of the modes of joint ventures, holdings, separate construction mode, etc.

The establishment and operation of Cloud Computing Center has enabled Chongqing to create a new era of cloud computing, save information costs and open the door of wisdom. Prior to this, Chongqing senior officials have visited a number of countries to study and make exchanges concerning cloud computing with an aim to strive to accelerate the construction of key projects. On February 13, 2012, Mayor of Chongqing, Mr. Huang Qifan has led a delegation to visit the United States,the Silicon Valley and Hewlett-Packard headquarters to discuss Hewlett-Packard’s building cloud computing data center in Chongqing; they have also visited Microsoft and Amazon headquarters in Seattle, and held meetings with the seniors from Microsoft and Amazon to discuss the construction of cloud computing in Chongqing.

Chongqing has ushered 2015 China (Chongqing)International Cloud Computing Exhibition after the Cloud Computing has been completed. During the exhibition, a total of 27 projects have been signed to settle in Chongqing, including Tencent “Internet+” Project, Acer “self-building” cloud, the Western Industrial Base of Inspur Data, Phicomm Cloud Computing, etc. with cloud computing, large data, car networking, wisdom education, information security and other fi elds involved. The total agreement investment has amounted up to 9.6 billion. A huge data processing industry cluster around cloud computing is emerging with the drives from the project.

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport T3A Terminal The Accelerator for the Construction of International Aviation Hub

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport T3A Terminal(the third runway) has been officially put into use on August 29, 2017, which is of great significance to speeding up the construction of Chongqing inland international logistics hub and the inland opening highland. Jiangbei Airport has now become the nationally fourth airport with three runways running simultaneously together with Beijing Capital Airport,Shanghai Pudong Airport, and Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. Data show that Jiangbei Airport has opened international passenger routes to Los Angeles, Cebu,Moscow, New York, as well as international cargo routes to Kuala Lumpur and Moscow. In addition,other international route to Melbourne will be put into operation.
