一、實驗介紹
本學校本學期高一年級開始使用進口教材《Solutions Intermediate》為了實驗學生是否能拿下里面眾多的生詞,特此設計了本教案,并將兩個班級進行對比分析。
實驗內容為《Solutions Intermediate》Unit 1A Vocabulary and Listening
實驗對象為高一年級兩個相同人數的班,實驗班和對照班。
二、實驗和課程設計及反饋
Pre-class task:
Students are required to use casino to self-study exercise 1 and 2. Find out the meaning for those new words both in Chinese and English.
注:這個部分在對照班沒有布置,僅實驗班學生做,他們運用卡西歐辭典查出單詞并放入卡西歐學習簿的單詞本中,方便上課隨時調用。
Teaching design
Step one:(warm-up questions)
1. What kind of clothes do you like wearing?
2. What do you wear when you are taking part in the flag-raising ceremony every Monday morning?Do you like it?
3. Work in pairs,and describe the worst dressed person you once saw. Be sure to use your newly learned words as much as possible.
Step two:(Exercise 1&2)
Look at the pictures,these are Hollywoods worst-dressed celebrities,can you use the adjectives in exercise 1 and 2 to describe them?
注:在描述前,實驗班僅用英文解釋來檢查他們對生詞的掌握,卡西歐的學習簿也可以隨時查用,對照班教師課堂上直接口頭給出生詞解釋。
對照班完成任務明顯耗時較實驗班長。
Step three:(Exercise 3&4)
1. Listen to the radio show. Which two celebrities in the photos are described?
注:由于對第一題第二題單詞熟悉程度不一樣,實驗班的學生由于單詞定位速度更快地找到四個人中的兩個人。
2. Take down notes about those descriptive words or phrases.
3. Use your note to finish Exercise 4.
注:本部分兩個班在用時和準確率上無差異。
Step four:(Exercise 5)
Use your notes and Exercise 4 to figure out the rules of using adjectives before noun.
Opinion-size,length,or shape-texture-pattern or color-material
Step five:(in-class learning output)
Speaking:work in pairs and describe the most beautifully dressed person you once saw. Be sure to use your newly learned words as much as possible.

詞匯習得檢查結果如下:
四、實驗結果分析
實驗班雖然和對照班在詞匯習得檢測的差距不算很大, 稍稍好一點點(P<0.04),但是在課堂詞語運用表現上明顯好過對照班,課前運用卡西歐學習單詞,對課堂詞匯識記效率有明顯的幫助。所以總體看來,課前運用電子詞典對英語課堂教學是有好處的。
