7.discuss v. 討論；商量

（1） 其后直接跟賓語，常用于以下結構中：

discuss sth with sb 與某人討論/商量某事

（2） 其后接動詞時，用動名詞（不用不定式）：

We discussed buying a second car.

我們商量過再買一輛汽車的事兒。

discussion n. 討論；商討

常用于以下結構中：

have a discussion with sb on/about/over sth 就某事與某人進行討論

We had a discussion with her about/over it.

8.promise n. 承諾；諾言

v. 許諾；承諾

She kept her promise to visit her aunt regularly.

她信守諾言，定期去看望姑媽。

當promise做動詞表示“許諾；承諾”時，常用于以下結構中：

（1） promise sb sth = promise sth to sb 許諾/答應某人某事

He promised his grandchildren the money.

他答應給孫兒孫女們這筆錢。

（2） promise to do sth 承諾做某事

I promise to tell the truth.

我承諾說真話。

表示改進的內容時，常跟介詞in，on和to。

在hour，day，week，month，year等表示時間的名詞詞尾加上后綴-ly構成的單詞，含有“每……的（地）”的意思，它們既可用作形容詞，也可用作副詞。

基本含義

●表示將要發生的動作或安排，或打算、計劃、決定要做的事。

We are going to have a class meeting this afternoon.

我們計劃下午召開班會。

●表示有跡象要發生某事。

Look at the black clouds. It’s going to rain.

be going to 的句式

●肯定句

be going to 結構中的助動詞be 的現在式一般有三種形式，即：am，is，are。當主語是第一人稱單數時用am；當主語是第三人稱單數時用is；當主語是其他人稱時用are。

I am/He is/They are going to buy something tomorrow morning.

明天早上我/他/他們要去買些東西。

●否定句

在be （am/is/are） 的后面加上not。

They are not/aren’t going to see the car factory next week.

他們不打算下周去參觀汽車廠。

●一般疑問句

把be （am/is/are） 放到句首，在句末加問號，構成一般疑問句。不過I am... 在改為一般疑問句時常常改為Are you...？ 。

肯定回答：Yes， 主語+ am/is/are.

否定回答：No， I’m not/主語+ isn’t/aren’t.

—Are they going to see the car factory next week？

—Yes， they are./No， they aren’t.

— 他們打算下周去參觀汽車廠嗎？

— 是的，他們打算去。/不，他們不打算去。

●特殊疑問句

特殊疑問詞+ be （am/is/are） + 主語+ going to + 動詞原形 + ……？

What are you going to do this afternoon？

今天下午你要做什么？

Where are they going to have dinner？

他們要去哪里吃飯？

使用be going to應注意的兩點

1. There be 句型的be going to 結構為：There is/are going to be... 常用來表示將有某事發生（注意句型中going to 后面的be 不能改為have）。

There is going to be a football match in our school next Saturday.

下周六我們學校將有一場足球比賽。

2. come，go，leave，arrive 等表示位置移動的動詞常用現在進行時表示將要發生的動作，它們很少與be going to 結構連用。

Miss Sun is coming tonight.

今晚孫小姐要來。
