“At that time, Chinese photographers often copied foreigners. They’d find a Western-looking space and shoot a foreign-looking picture. No one was taking photos of what was happening right now,” she tells me.
And what does she think about selfe culture? “I think it’s great. People are constantly9)confrmingtheir existence, saying, ‘I exist, I exist, I exist. I’m good,’” she says. “That way they can feel10)secure.”
I ask her what changes when she shoots herself. “It’s like a11)refereewho knows how to play basketball being asked to play a game,” she says. “She usually doesn’t touch the ball, but now she has to.”

“那時(shí)候,中國(guó)攝影師們常常模仿外國(guó)攝影師。他們一定要找一個(gè)有西方風(fēng)格的地方拍一張具有西方氣息的圖片。沒(méi)有人拍攝中國(guó)正在發(fā)生的改變,”她告訴我說(shuō)。
那么她是怎么看待自拍文化的呢?“我認(rèn)為這很好。人們無(wú)時(shí)無(wú)刻不在證實(shí)著自己的存在,高喊著‘我存在,我存在,我存在。我很好,’”她說(shuō)。“這樣他們會(huì)擁有安全感。”
我問(wèn)她拍自己時(shí)感覺(jué)有什么不一樣。“就好像知道如何打籃球的裁判被要求上場(chǎng)打比賽一樣,”她說(shuō)。“她通常是不需要上場(chǎng)觸球的,但現(xiàn)在她不得不了。”
