The forum was held about the trend of Xianyang New Textile Industrial Park

On January 20， 2017， the forum was held about the trend of Xianyang New Textile Industrial Park in Xianyang.

Experts at the meeting first listened to the park situation and development plan of textile industry， and put forward constructive ideas on the development of Xianyang New Textile Industrial Park under the new normal.

Xianyang New Textile Industrial Park was established in April 2011， located in the west of the main urban zone， and covering 10.83 square kilometers. After several years of construction and development， the infrastructure has been basically completed. For roads， the “two vertical and four horizontal” road framework has been fully opened to traffic. Heating center， fire station， 110KV substation， sewage treatment plant have been fully completed and put into production. Elements of production have been basically completed. In addition， for living facilities， textile garden district， public rental housing， comprehensive service center， catering center and others have been put into use. Schools， hospitals and workers palace and other projects will start construction. For investment attraction， the completed projects reached to 26， with a total investment 8.2 billion yuan， and 5.7 billion yuan completed by the end of 2016. The park will strive to develop tech-textile industry and textile machinery and accessories， cooperate with famous garment research and design institutions， introduce and create national and provincial level “En- gineering Technology Center” and “Testing Center”， as well as to cultivate famous brands.

Chen Huian， President of the Shaanxi Garment Association at the meeting pointed out that， first of all， the investment should be based on professionals， and rely on the resources of garment association and China National Textile and Apparel Council； secondly， its recommended that the park depend on the existing resources for investment， and make full use of the resources of the province.

Wang Zhaohui， deputy director of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology put forward that the scale of the park has taken initial shape， while it should improve management and equipment level， strengthen brand awareness， and enhance own advantages through precise positioning and characteristic function.

Xu Wenying， expert of China National Textile and Apparel Council， indicated that the selection of equipment was relatively advanced on the domestic. The national cotton spinning showed a negative growth， except Xinjiang last year. The proportion of cotton in the raw material has dropped to 28% from 50%. Xianyang cotton spinning enterprises have formed a preliminary scale. It should pay more attention on intelligent manufacturing industry， to realize green manufacturing and clean production， so as to improve quality and brand， and form industrial chain in the park.
