On 30 November, Messe München Shanghai Co., Ltd. organized its yearly Outbound Business Partner Celebration in Beijing. The event was combined with a project workshop in the afternoon. More than 150 outbound partners of Messe München participated in this event.
During the workshop section, the project team presented more than 30 projects , including the worldwide bauma cluster, IFAT cluster, transport logistic cluster, drinktec cluster, analytica cluster, ceramitec, ISPO MUNICH, INHORGENTA, opti, LASER, LOPEC, productronica, electronica, automatica, iba, oils fats, and interforst to the audience. The stand allocation for most of those shows is done according to product segments, which not only helps the visitors but also benefits the exhibitors through enhancing B2B communication. What’s more, not only the brand exhibitions in Germany are popular in China, but those shows in emerging countries, such as South Africa, Turkey and India are also attracting more and more Chinese exhibitors. Messe München also emphasized the importance of Chinese visitor delegations, as many potential exhibitors come first to visit the shows before they finally become an exhibitor.
Dr. Michael Poellmann, Executive Director, Global Sales of Messe München flew over to Beijing just for this event. In the workshop, Dr. Poellmann introduced the global representatives’ performance in the year 2016 and the first half of 2017. China, as one of the 10 focus countries in Messe München’s international network performed very well and was in the top 3 position, in regard of total space sales behind Italy and Austria, space growth rate and total visitor numbers among 130 country representative. Thomas Loeffler, Chief Financial Officer of Messe München Shanghai, commented that the great success of China was due to a good combination of efforts from all sides, including strong Chinese Government’s Support, a good show reputation and a close team work between Messe München and its hundreds of partners in China. He is confident that the performance of Chinese sales for the year 2018 will be even better than in 2017.
During the dinner, Messe München presented more than 20 awards to those outstanding agents and suppliers in year 2017. The event ended with the whole outbound team singing the song “We (You) are the Champions”, expressing Messe München’s appreciation to all the partners who contribute so much to the project development in China.
