pleasant,pleased和pleasure都有“高興(的),愉快(的)”的意思,但是具體的用法卻有所區(qū)別。下面為同學(xué)們歸納它們的常見用法,帶領(lǐng)大家走進(jìn)“快樂”大本營(yíng)吧!
1.pleasant作定語時(shí),意為“令人高興的,令人愉快的”,只能修飾事物,不能修飾人;作表語時(shí),意為“使人感到高興(愉快)”,句子的主語只能是表示事物的詞語。例如:
It is a pleasant night.那是個(gè)令人愉快的夜晚。
It is very pleasant to sit down after standing for hours.站了幾小時(shí)后坐下來很舒服。
2.pleased通常用作表語,意為“高興的,欣喜的,滿意的”,其主語一定是人。常見結(jié)構(gòu)有be pleased at doing sth.,be pleased with sth.,be pleased to do sth.,be pleased+that從句。例如:
He must be pleased at this news.
他聽到這個(gè)消息一定高興。
The teacher is very pleased with our homework.
老師對(duì)我們的作業(yè)很滿意。
The two friends were very pleased to see each other again.
這兩個(gè)朋友非常高興能再次見面。
I was pleased that the manager had decided not to be angry with me.
使我高興的是經(jīng)理決定不再生我的氣了。
3.pleasure是名詞,表示“愉快,高興;滿意;喜歡”之意,多用于口語,當(dāng)你幫助他人受到對(duì)方感謝,你應(yīng)說:It's a pleasure.或It's one's pleasure.。當(dāng)別人請(qǐng)你幫忙,你樂意幫忙時(shí),則應(yīng)說:With pleasure.。例如:
—Thank you for your help.感謝你的幫助。
—It's a pleasure.不用謝。
—Can you tell me how to use this computer?你能告訴我怎樣使用這臺(tái)電腦嗎?
—With pleasure.很樂意。
