THE PROSPECT OF TORONTO

China Southern‘s Guangzhou-Toronto route will be launched on December 7th, 2016. By then, the airline’s services to North American destinations such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver will have increased to 37 flights per week.

南航廣州-多倫多將于2016年12月7日正式開通。屆時，南航從廣州飛往紐約、洛杉磯、舊金山，多倫多、溫哥華的航班將增至每周37班。

The fifth direct flight destination第五點

Toronto, the capital city of Ontario, is the biggest city in Canada. It is located in South Ontario on the northwest shore of Lake Ontario. The city is the financial centre of Canada, and one of the most diverse cities in the world. After the launch of the Toronto service, China Southern will have its fifth direct flight destination to North American, allowing the carrier to provide more options for passengers who travel in this region.

The flight number of this route is CZ311/2, with three flights per week. China Southern will operate the service using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The flights will depart at 14∶30 every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from Guangzhou, and arrive at 17∶30(Winter Time)/16∶30(Summer Time) Toronto local time. Return flights will depart from Toronto every Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 01∶30(Winter Time)/00∶30(Summer Time), and arrive in Guangzhou at 05∶10 the following day.

During the Winter-Spring season, after the commencement of the Toronto route, China Southern will offer 37 return flights each week with more than 26,000 seats servicing between Guangzhou and New York/Los Angeles/San Francisco/Vancouver/Toronto and between Wuhan and San Francisco. .

Solidify communications between two countries新期待

China Southern's multiple destinations in North America make it more convenient for passengers to travel to different cities in the region. It only takes an hour to fly from Toronto to New York, so you willhave more options.

The market expects no less from this new service. According to the 2015 report of Tourism Toronto, in 2015, other than travellers from the US, the number of Chinese tourists topped Toronto's international visitors∶ 260,400 in total. The yearly increase was 13%. A third party has utilised relevant data and analytic devices provided by Airport IS system to predict the passenger volume of Guangzhou-Toronto nonstop service. Their report(The Prediction of Passenger Flows For Guangzhou-Toronto Route, written by Yang Qianfei&Li Binning& Luo Jun） shows that China Southern Airlines will attain approximately 39,000 passengers in the bilateral O&D market from Guangzhou to Toronto each year if operating four flights per week, and the market stimulation volume (O&D passenger volume) brought by Guangzhou-Toronto direct flights will be approximately 35,000.

Ms Huang Ping, Manager of the Chinese Market development of Tourism Toronto explained∶ “As the Canadian city with the most visitors, Toronto is a must-see for Chinese tourists. People will find the most culturally-diverse, modern and dynamic places in Canada. In the meantime, the well developed transportation network makes it possible for tourists to travel conveniently like locals. As the most convenient transportation hub, Toronto has many direct flights to China. On December 7th this year, China Southern will launch its Guangzhou-Toronto direct flight. I believe such great news will solidify communications between two countries.”

According to the third party report（The Prediction of Passenger Flows For Guangzhou-Toronto Route，written by Yang Qianfei&Li Binning& Luo Jun）, The Prediction of Passenger Flow for Guangzhou-Toronto service will reach 107,000, with a 74,000 O&D passenger volume and a 33,000 connecting passenger volume in the first year of operation.
