Q1: What are the characteristics of the

travellers and their way of travel in the Yangon routes?

Dong:Most travellers in the Yangon routes are business and family visitors, with tourists making up a smaller part. For these travellers, punctuality is crucial and reasonable cost is valued. To meet travellers' needs, China Southern is making its best effort to maintain arrival and departure punctuality for every single fl ight, and ensure safety at the same time. China Southern also offers a variety of products to meet travellers' cost-saving needs, like early-bird pricing offered at Yangon.

Q2: What is China Southern doing better than other airlines in Yangon?

Dong:China Southern shows a great advantage in fl ight safety, performance and punctuality. Guangzhou is a major hub with its extensive domestic and international networks, so travellers from Burma can transfer conveniently. In Yangon, fl ights have not been cancelled without a special reason and punctuality rate is maintained at 90% and above.

Q3: What are the opportunities and challenges in Yangon under the background of China's One Belt and One Road strategy?

Dong:The Bangladesh-Sino-India-Burma route is the most important of the six economic routes under the One Belt and One Road initiative, and has a farreaching infl uence to neighbouring countries. Burma is a key player in this route. With a fast-growing market in Burma, China Southern plans to add new spots and develop new routes in Burma, in order to strive in Burma's increasingly competitive air market.

Q4: Any tips for those who travel to Yangon for the first time?

Dong:Certainly. Visitors, men and women, should be bare-footed when visiting pagodas or temples. In some locations, it is required that trousers or skirts should be worn between the knee and ankle. Visitors should keep respectful to pagodas, statuesof Buddhas and monks. Men should be seated to the right of women on dining tables. Jade products are readily available in Burma and it's allowed to purchase jade products in formal markets, while purchasing raw jade from black market and carrying it across the border is deemed illegal.

Q5: How to connect Yangon to other cities in Burma?

Dong: It is most convenient yet expensive to travel by plane. There are air routes between Yangon and every major city in Burma. These planes are mostly propeller-driven, and sometimes with stops at other cities. Trains can connect Burma and Mandalay, Mandalay and Bagan. The facilities can be old and ill-maintained, and delays are common. For backpackers, air-conditioned buses are relatively comfortable and inexpensive.

Q1：目前仰光航線的人群分布、旅游方式有什么特點？

董：仰光航線主要以商務、探親的旅客為主，旅游為輔。他們最大的需求為航班正點，票價適宜。針對此需求，在航班安全第一的前提下，南航盡最大努力使每一個航班正點到達和正點起飛；針對不同票價需求，仰光辦事處有提前購票的特殊產品，越早購票越便宜。

Q2：相比其他航空公司，南航在仰光有哪些優勢？

董：相比其他航空公司，南航在安全、中轉、航班正點率和航班正常率方面都很有優勢。廣州作為南航中轉樞紐，國內及國際航線網絡發達，方便仰光旅客進行中轉。仰光航班一直沒有無故取消的現象發生，航班保障正點率一直保持在90%以上。

Q3：目前國家主推“一帶一路”政策，對南航在仰光來說，將遇到什么機遇和挑戰？

董：“孟、中、印、緬經濟走廊”是“一帶一路”六大經濟走廊中最為重要、影響最為深遠的部分，緬甸是這一經濟走廊中的關鍵一環。緬甸航空市場越來越繁榮，開通的航線也會越來越多，南航也有意向在緬甸開通新的航線和新的通航點，同時緬甸的航空市場競爭也會越來越激烈。

Q4：對于第一次去仰光的游客來說，有什么特別需要注意?

董：對于第一次來仰光的游客來說，進佛塔或寺廟，不論男女都必須一律脫鞋，有的場所要求所穿的褲子或裙子過膝。游客不能對寺廟、佛像、和尚等做出輕率動作，吃飯時須按男右女左入座。由于緬甸盛產玉石，根據政府規定，外國游客可在緬正規市場上購買玉石加工產品，但在黑市上購買玉石毛坯并帶出國是違法行為。

Q5：要從仰光去緬甸其他城市，有什么方式？

董：從仰光前往其他城市，搭乘內陸班機是旅游緬甸最快速最舒適也最昂貴的方式。緬甸的主要城市間都有航班聯通，但基本上是螺旋槳式飛機，有時還會經停其他城市。仰光到曼德勒、曼德勒到蒲甘都有火車，但設施較陳舊，誤點是家常便飯。對背包客來說，緬甸的空調巴士可算是較舒適、較省錢的旅行方式。
