Solar Dream

At 4:05am local time (UTC+4), Solar Impulse 2 (Si2) – the zero-emission electric and solar airplane, capable of fl ying day and night without fuel landed in Abu Dhabi. This is the fi rst ever Round-The-World Solar Flight. Taking turns in the single-seater 3.8m3cockpit, the two Swiss pioneers Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg have fl own Si2 around the world in 17 legs, crossing Asia, the Pacifi c Ocean, the USA, the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea and the Middle East. A total of 19 world records were set or are still pending by the World Air Sports Federation (FAI). By landing back in Abu Dhabi after a total of 23 days of fl ight and 43,041 km travelled, Si2 has proven that clean technologies can achieve the impossible.

當(dāng)?shù)貢r間7月26日凌晨4:05，全程僅依靠太陽能、不使用一滴燃油并晝夜連續(xù)飛行的“陽光動力2號”飛機(jī)降落阿布扎比，完成人類歷史上太陽能飛機(jī)的環(huán)球首航。這架瑞士制造的“陽光動力2號”由項(xiàng)目發(fā)起人貝特朗·皮卡爾和安德烈·波許博格駕駛，歷時23天，17段旅程，跨越三大洲、兩大洋，飛行43041公里，打破19項(xiàng)世界飛行記錄，最終抵達(dá)始發(fā)地阿聯(lián)酋阿布扎比。這一偉大壯舉證明了清潔技術(shù)可以完成不可能的任務(wù)。

The Celebration of Love

The perfume chosen for actress Chen Yanxi and actor Chen Xiao's recent wedding was Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina Eau de Parfum. Its top note contains pink pepper, presenting a graceful air; the heart note shows the quiet and gentle fragrance of Jasmin and Peony. Finally the dry down note reveals the surprising sweetness of Italian pudding.

2016年8月19日至10月23日，一場名為“設(shè)計(jì)改革：國際飯店與中國建筑1978—1990”的展覽在尤倫斯當(dāng)代藝術(shù)中心（UCCA）展出。本展覽首次集中呈現(xiàn)與7個位于北京、上海、南京、廣州的飯店建設(shè)項(xiàng)目相關(guān)的模型、圖紙、照片、文獻(xiàn)及藝術(shù)作品，反映正在劇烈變化的改革開放時期，中國建筑師、規(guī)劃者與外國投資人、設(shè)計(jì)師、開發(fā)商，如何共同定義中國改革開放進(jìn)程的面貌，如何使新型的跨文化交流在國際飯店中應(yīng)運(yùn)而生。

Architecture Under Collision

From 19th August to 23rd October 2016, the exhibition Accommodating Reform: International Hotels and Architecture in China, 1978-1990 will be on display in UCCA, Beijing. This exhibition features models, diagrams, pictures, documents and artworks that are related to seven construction projects of hotels in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Guangzhou. It refl ects how Chinese architects and planners, along with foreign sponsors, designers and developers, defi ned the progress and policy during the dramatically changing time of the reform, and how they made created intercultural communication during the building of international hotels.

Louvre of No Distance

Art Louvre in Shenzhen opened recently. This show presents valuable artworks including 30 prints from a thematic collection, 49 monotypes owned by the museum, 26 replicas of original sculptures and 64 medieval treasures. The 52-day exhibition is the grand fi nale of the exhibition series with the biggest collection of exhibits on the largest scale. In addition, to keep up with the latest trends in the art world, visitors can touch and hold museum pieces with the help of virtual reality (VR). 盧浮宮零距離

法國盧浮宮珍藏藝術(shù)品展（深圳站）近日開展。本次展出來自盧浮宮的30張主題珍藏版畫、49幅館藏單幅版畫、26件原模翻版雕塑以及64件中世紀(jì)飾品等珍貴藝術(shù)品，展覽為期52天，是全系列展覽中展品最多、規(guī)模最大的壓軸大展。此外，順應(yīng)當(dāng)下VR+藝術(shù)的潮流，在展覽期間，參觀者還可通過VR技術(shù)觸摸古老的藝術(shù)博物館。走進(jìn)梵高名畫《星空》，“親臨”盧浮宮廣場，欣賞由華裔建筑設(shè)計(jì)師貝聿銘設(shè)計(jì)的“玻璃金字塔”，感受科技與藝術(shù)的綜合體驗(yàn)，零距離欣賞立體的盧浮宮著名雕塑。

World Masters Games

Following in the footsteps of the Olympic Games, the World Masters Games will be held at Auckland, New Zealand next year. This will be the biggest event in New Zealand in ten years. 28 sporting events will be staged in 45 competition venues varying from stadiums, gymnasiums, beaches and forests. Just like the Olympic Games, the World Masters Games is held every four years, and is an international sport event open to all people. Anyone older than 35, with a few exceptions in games allowing participants younger than that, and meeting the general competition requirements, can participate in the games.
