Polyamide fiber:Say“NO”to sales on credit

The press conference on “To Regulate Charge Sales in Polyamide Industry” was held in Shengze， Suzhou province on September 8th 2015 during the 21st China International Manmade Fiber Conference.

Polyamide fiber is an important raw material of textile and garment industry in China， and in recent years， the polyamide fiber industry in China has enjoyed rapid development thanks to the eased bottleneck in supply of its feedstock caprolactam. However， under the circumstances of current economic downward pressures， sluggish external demand， as well as rising factor costs， the sustainable development of polyamide fiber industrial chain is also facing serious challenges. Especially， the problem of sales on credit that has troubled the civil yarn and its downstream industry for many years is gradually growing more serious， becoming a severe threat to the security of the industrial chain.

To solve these problems， China Chemical Fibers Association， together with its branch Polyamide Fiber Association， has for three times convened the leading enterprises in the industry to make a survey of enterprise arrears for regulation programs and work plans. At present， 12 enterprises made an agreement to release a written proposal to appeal to the relevant enterprises to stop sell polyamide fiber on credit for a healthy development of the industry.

The proposal says：

To stop selling on credit from September 2015， instead， the sales model of cash for spot goods is a must.

The receivables are to gradually return from September 2015 and complete by December 2016.

To call on the whole polyamide industry to respond positively to this regulation action on charge sales through reduction in output and self-discipline， and consciously put an end to occupy the counterparts customers during the event.

To call on the downstream customers to understand and support this action， together with the upstream to enterprises， to solve this hard chronic disease.

To call on the whole polyamide industry to restore market order for fair competition and to create value for the industrial chain based on service， quality and diversity， enhancing the overall competitiveness of the industry.
