When Zhao Yanjun， a chemistry major at the University of Science and Technology Beijing， looks back to her exchange days at Tunghai University in Taiwan， the first thing she remembers is sausage wrapped in glutinous rice. Just as the name suggests， its a carb-loaded rice mixture wrapped around a baked sausage. “The baked sausage looks oily， but doesnt taste greasy， and the rice is soft with a crispy skin，” Zhao says. Among the different flavors， which include spicy， black pepper and wasabi， Zhao recommends the wasabi flavor. “Its a little strange at first， but its very refreshing.”

北京科技大學(xué)化學(xué)專(zhuān)業(yè)的趙艷君每每想起她在臺(tái)灣東海大學(xué)做交換學(xué)生的日子，首先在腦海中浮現(xiàn)出的都是糯米飯包香腸。正如其名，大腸包小腸是由混著蟹肉的米腸將烤好的臺(tái)灣香腸包裹而成。趙艷君說(shuō)：“里面的烤腸看似油光閃閃但絲毫不膩，而外面的米腸則內(nèi)軟外脆。”大腸包小腸有香辣、黑胡椒、芥末等幾種口味，而趙艷君則特別推薦芥末味，她說(shuō)：“雖然入口有點(diǎn)怪異，但是十分爽口。”

The coffin burger is Zhang Tianjian favorite snack. The 19-year-old boy grew up in Kaohsiung and is a chemical engineering major at Tsinghua University now. Just like its unusual name， it is an innovative and unique dish. A loaf of thick， deep-fried bread is cut open at the top like a box. Then it is filled with a stew of pork， shrimp and intestines. The toppings include chopped potatoes， carrots and corn. “The meat is quite greasy， but in combination with the fried， dry bread it makes for a refreshing meal，” Zhang says.

“棺材板”是張?zhí)煲?jiàn)最喜歡的小吃。這個(gè)現(xiàn)年19歲、在高雄長(zhǎng)大的男生現(xiàn)在就讀于清華大學(xué)化學(xué)工程專(zhuān)業(yè)。棺材板，食如其名，是一道充滿奇思、與眾不同的美食。厚面包塊煎炸后，將頂上切開(kāi)，形成盒狀。然后，填以燉豬肉、蝦肉和香腸，上層蓋以炸薯?xiàng)l，胡蘿卜丁與玉米粒。張?zhí)煲?jiàn)說(shuō)：“雖然其中填充的肉很膩，但是和炸過(guò)的干面包搭配在一起吃，頓時(shí)令你舌尖一亮。”

When it comes to Taiwanese meatballs， Cai Zhongyu cant hide his pride and excitement， because its what the 19-year-olds hometown， Zhanghua， is best known for. The dish is a fried ball of minced pork wrapped inside a translucent， glutinous shell made of rice and sweet potato flour. Inside the meatball is a mixture of bamboo shoots and mushrooms， and the whole snack is served with a sweet chili sauce. “When its cut into pieces， the meat juices flow out and mix with the sweet chili sauce. It tastes great，” Tsai says.

說(shuō)起臺(tái)灣肉圓，蔡宗余難掩自豪與激動(dòng)之情，這位19歲男孩的家鄉(xiāng)——彰化正是因?yàn)檫@種美食而著名。肉圓是由糯米、甘薯粉制成半透明的黏糯外皮，將豬肉餡包裹成球后煎炸而成。肉餡中還會(huì)放入筍尖與蘑菇，并在外面淋上甜辣醬。蔡宗余說(shuō)：“切開(kāi)肉圓時(shí)，里面的湯汁就會(huì)流出來(lái)，和外面的甜辣醬混在一起。實(shí)在是太好吃了。”

A fascinating sunset on the docks and tasty mochi — the memory is still fresh for Chen Yujia， 23， a human resources management major at Renmin University of China. In 2012， she went to Taiwan to attend a summer school. One day， on the way back to her hotel after watching the sunset in New Taipei City with her friends， Chen tried the snack for the first time. “We ordered two kinds of mochi. One was cold and without any soup. It was a soft mochi wrapped in peanut powder and had a refreshing taste，” Che says. “The other was a hot mochi drenched in a lightly sweetened red bean soup. It was a very satisfying meal.”

今年23歲的陳玉佳是中國(guó)人民大學(xué)人力資源管理專(zhuān)業(yè)的一名學(xué)生，她曾在2012年去臺(tái)灣參加暑期學(xué)校，而她至今還清晰地記得碼頭上醉人的落日以及美味的麻糬。當(dāng)時(shí)，她和朋友一起去新臺(tái)北市看落日，在返回酒店的路上她第一次吃到麻糬。她回憶道：“我們要了兩種麻糬。一種是涼的，沒(méi)有湯。軟軟的麻糬包裹在花生粉里十分爽口。而另一種則是浸在紅豆湯中的熱麻糬，紅豆湯微甜，吃下去讓人很滿足。”
