President Li Xiaolin Attends the Photo Exhibition on Ho Chi Minh and China-Vietnam Relations

From July 17-19， CPAFFC President Li Xiaolin attended the Photo Exhibition on Ho Chi Minh and China-Vietnam Relations and other related activities in Vietnam at the invitation of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO). On July 18，President Li， joined by VUFO Chairman Vu Xuan Hong， accompanied Zhang Gaoli， a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and vice premier， to meet Vietnamese friends and tour the Photo Exhibition on Ho Chi Minh and China-Vietnam Relations sponsored by CPAFFC and VUFO at Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi during his official visit to Vietnam.

This year marks the 125m anniver-sary of the birth of Ho Chi Minh and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam. With more than 80 pictures，the exhibition showed Ho Chi Minh’s remarkable contributions and demon-strated the traditional friendship be-tween Chinese and Vietnamese people.The Exhibition consists of three parts.Part I， entitled“Lay the Foundation of Friendship during Revolution”， recalls the initiation of“Comrade and Brother”friendship by Ho Chi Minh and Mao Zedong as well as other former state leaders of China. Part II， entitled “In-herit Friendship Tradition”， emphasizes the launching of the 16-Chinese Char-acter Principle and“Four Good”Spirit by Chinese and Vietnamese state lead-ers in light of the changing situations in the world and the region since the 1990s， which has promoted cooperation in various fields and the development of a strategic partnership. Part III， entitled“Deepen People-to-People Friendship”，reflects the positive role played by the non-govemmental organizations in Chi-na and Vietnam for consolidating the friendship basis of public opinion fol-lowing the trend of the development of bilateral relations.

On the same day， Chairman Vu Xuan Hong held friendly talks with President Li on people-to-people ex-changes between the two countries. On behalf of VUFO， Chairman Vu award-ed President Li a Medal for Peace and Friendship among Nations， the high-est honor of VUFO， in appreciation of the outstanding contributions made byPresident Li and CPAFFC in deepen- ing China-Vietnam friendship in recent years. President Li expressed gratitude and said the CPAFFC was willing to further cooperate with VUFO in carry-ing forward the China-Vietnam friend- ship initiated by the older generation of state leaders， promoting people-to-people exchanges in various fields， and achieving more positive results for the mutual understanding， friendship and well-being ofthe two peoples.
