Not all the sand beaches are yellow, not all the forming process of the sand beaches are the same, not all the raw material of sand beaches are mineral substances……now lets go to the sea border and have a look at how the magical nature deploys the colors of the sand beaches!

The sand beaches of mineral composition consists of rocks with specific mineral composition. The rocks are air-slaked into chippings, eventually gathered and deposed as colorful sand beach under the effect of various factors such as wind and sea water.

The project of forming sand is complex, the weathering shows its great function in the earlier stage of forming sand, which resolving the rocks rich in variety of mineral substances: physical weathering , chemical weathering and biological weathering comprehensively use animals, plants, fungus, oxygen, carbon dioxide, water and other edge tools to cope with rocks, and resolve the rocks into chippings.

Then the sea water keeps striking the shore, and erodes the rock chippings after weathering into fine grains of sand. The red, purple, black, white, green and many other color of the mineral sand beach are usually formed by sea water with local materials. However, the water sometimes move the rock chippings after weathering away, and move them along the coastline, as the chippings run into the capes or bays, they gradually depose as sand beach.

The yellow beach is most common, there is reason for it. The bases of yellow sand is quartz, which is the most widely distributed mineral substances on the earth. Therefore, the raw material supply bases of yellow sand spread all over the world. After the rocks weathering, most elements except quartz will be dissolved into mud. With the characteristics of high hardness and uneasy to react, the quartzes are remained after all difficult and complex transport environment and form large beaches. If the purity of quartz forming beaches is high, the beach will present a pure white color. As the Hymes white beach in Australia called “Eden Beach” is made up by almost pure quartzes. If there are yellow impurities in the quartzes, the common yellow beach will form.
