Johnny： Of course I drive. How else would I get around？

Magda： I always use public transport. It’s very good here in London， even if it’s quite expensive.

Olivia： Not as expensive as a car.

Harry： Mmm， that’s true！

Olivia： You should all cycle more！

Johnny： I’m not cycling. It’s tiring. And dangerous！

Harry： And the weather here is terrible—cycling in the rain isn’t any fun！

Magda： That’s true. That’s why I get the 3）tube or the bus.

航空

作為國(guó)際交通中心，你幾乎可以在世界上任何一個(gè)國(guó)家都找到飛往英國(guó)的航班，我國(guó)的北京、上海和香港每天都有直飛倫敦希思羅機(jī)場(chǎng)的航班。

倫敦共有五個(gè)機(jī)場(chǎng)，其中希思羅（Heathrow）和蓋特威克（Gatwick）是國(guó)際機(jī)場(chǎng)；斯坦斯特德（Stansted）、倫敦市（London City）和盧頓（Luton）機(jī)場(chǎng)主要是廉價(jià)航空的基地，飛往歐洲和英國(guó)國(guó)內(nèi)的一些城市。

鐵路

倫敦有多達(dá)10個(gè)火車(chē)站，分布在倫敦不同的區(qū)域中，所有的火車(chē)站都與地鐵相連。倫敦地鐵是世界上第一條地下鐵道，總長(zhǎng)超過(guò)400公里。1856年開(kāi)始修建，1863年1月10日正式投入運(yùn)營(yíng)。整個(gè)倫敦地鐵網(wǎng)絡(luò)一共分為6個(gè)區(qū)（zone），12條線（line），每條線路都有一個(gè)自己的標(biāo)志色。

歐洲之星（Eurostar）是針對(duì)著名的英吉利海峽海底隧道工程而開(kāi)通的由倫敦前往法國(guó)巴黎及比利時(shí)的布魯塞爾的高速列車(chē)。倫敦每天至少有十班高速列車(chē)通過(guò)英吉利海峽海底隧道來(lái)往于法國(guó)巴黎（3小時(shí)）和比利時(shí)的布魯塞爾（2.5小時(shí)）。

公路

倫敦的大部分長(zhǎng)途班車(chē)從維多利亞長(zhǎng)途汽車(chē)站（Victoria Coach Station）發(fā)出，National Express和Megabus是其主要的兩家運(yùn)營(yíng)公司。

出租車(chē)

倫敦的黑色計(jì)程車(chē)可在街上隨時(shí)召喚，車(chē)資以計(jì)程表計(jì)費(fèi)，小費(fèi)約為車(chē)費(fèi)的10%—15%。若搭乘未經(jīng)認(rèn)可的計(jì)程車(chē)（迷你計(jì)程車(chē)或兜生意的其他車(chē)），因?yàn)樗麄儧](méi)有計(jì)程表，應(yīng)事先商定價(jià)錢(qián)，價(jià)格會(huì)比正規(guī)出租車(chē)便宜一些。

公交車(chē)

紅色的雙層巴士是倫敦的象征之一。對(duì)于大多游客來(lái)說(shuō)，似乎巴士總是會(huì)把自己帶到令人莫名其妙的地方，于是也會(huì)對(duì)其敬而遠(yuǎn)之。不過(guò)，如果能對(duì)堵車(chē)熟視無(wú)睹，那么就沒(méi)有什么能比乘公共汽車(chē)更方便更令人愜意的了。

目前，倫敦有兩種巴士穿梭于大街小巷。一種為老式的，乘客由車(chē)的尾部上下，車(chē)本身沒(méi)有門(mén)，在行駛之中仍然門(mén)戶(hù)大開(kāi)。因此，即使沒(méi)有到站，比如在等綠燈或堵車(chē)時(shí)，乘客也可以上上下下！但是請(qǐng)注意，不要強(qiáng)行登車(chē)或下車(chē)。但這種被視為倫敦象征的紅色雙層巴士正在慢慢退出，由更舒適、載客更多的雙節(jié)寬體巴士取代，顏色仍然是紅色。
