\"Protection of cultural heritage is to preserve history\" \"it's quite stupid to destroy ancestral heritage.\" In actuality， in the process of protecting the cultural heritage， each country has been increasingly aware that cultural heritage is not only bound by a particular area but serves for all mankind. Protecting cultural heritage is the greatest contribution to humankind.

“保護文化遺產就是保護歷史”、“ 摧毀祖先留下來的文化遺產行為是十分愚蠢的”，事實上，在保護文化遺產的過程中，各個國家已越來越明確文化遺產不僅僅是屬于某特定地域的，而且也是全人類的。保護好文化遺產，被認為是對人類的最大貢獻。

To oversee and prevent domestic and foreign tourists from graffiti， theft or other forms of damage， Egypt sets up large quantities of \"tourist police\" at important cultural relic spots. Once the above behaviors are found， \"itchy\" visitors will be subject to severe punishment. Moreover， according to the new Egyptian Monuments Protection Act， any one who does harm to ancient monuments like temples and statues， or builds houses around the monuments， will be fined up to $ 100，000 and sentenced to life imprisonment depending on severity. As a consequence， there's a large presence of historical sites， and cultural heritage is almost ubiquitous in large numbers in Egypt of ancient civilization.

在文明古國埃及，古跡數目龐大，文化遺產幾乎隨處可見。為監督和防止本國和外國游客在文物上信手涂鴉或進行其他破壞盜竊行為，埃及在每個重要文物景點都設置了大批“旅游警察”。一經發現，“手癢”的游客將得到嚴懲。另據埃及新古跡保護法案規定，對破壞神廟、古雕像等古跡以及在古跡周圍建造房屋者，據情節輕重，施以最高可達10萬美元，并判處無期徒刑等懲罰。

Protection and dissemination of ancient cultural heritage is the responsibility of a nation， while it's a very important part for public participation in heritage conservation. Among them， local people， with a broader and deeper emotional foundation for protection of cultural heritage， have established lots of spontaneous organizations and volunteer teams for conservation of cultural relics and sites.

而據意大利相關規定，100年以上歷史的建筑物未經有關主管機關批準不得拆毀與改建，裝修內部也須經文物部門派人檢查、鑒定和批準。并且意大利將文物保護作為一項重要國策寫入憲法，各個城市對古老街道和建筑物不許隨便改造，不僅外型不能變，就連外墻涂料及窗戶顏色都要保持原樣。在每個意大利人的眼中，對保護本國文化遺產有著天然的自豪感和責任感。

據悉，在墨西哥，古代文化遺產是對一個國家主權的認同，是凝聚全體國民的基本要素之一，保護和傳播古文化遺產是國家的責任，而公眾參與文物保護是非常重要的組成部分。其中，當地民眾對保護文化遺產有較廣泛和深厚的感情基礎，組建了很多自發的文物古跡保護組織及文物保護志愿者團隊。

打擊破壞應成自覺行為

\"Cultural heritage is common heritage of our mankind； it's closely associated with each of us except for its close relationship with those direct shareholders\"， Sun Hua， Associate Dean of School of Archaeology and Museology of Peking University， and Director of Cultural Heritage Protection Research Center， said to the public solemnly yet sincerely.

He stressed that too much ancient legacy has been devastated along with changes of regime， and only a small amount has been preserved to date. Despite increasing attention from the national level， education should also start from childhood and campaign should be also carried out to raise awareness of protection in primary and secondary schools as well as colleges and universities so as to foster conscious responsibility for protection of cultural heritage among citizens in the future. Only by raising awareness of the whole nation to protect cultural heritage and sites and turning the act of combating vandalism into a conscious one， can cultural legacy be better preserved.

“文化遺產是我們人類的共同遺產，除了和利益直接相關者有密切的關系，它和我們每一個人都有密切的關系。”中國北京大學考古文博學院副院長、文化遺產保護研究中心主任孫華在公開場合語重心長的表示。

他強調，太多古代遺留下的遺產在改朝換代中灰飛煙滅，保留至今的并不多。雖從國家層面都已日漸重視，但保護教育還應從小抓起，并且從小學、中學到大學都要開展相關教育活動，使今后文化遺產保護成為每一個公民自覺的責任。也只有提高全民族文化遺址遺產保護意識，將打擊破壞文物的行為作為自覺行為，才能更好將這份遺產保護下去。
