More design, better life

The red dot design award is one of the most internationally acclaimed competitions and is known as “the academy award” in the world of design. It attracts lots of excellent designs around the world every year. This year， the red dot participated for the first time in China International Design Business Week in September， China’s Foreign Trade picked up some works from red dot design winners 2011 and 2012 to share with you.

The distinctive feature of the comme l’oiseau collection is its modular concept: a body made of vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather surrounds a reversible textile bag that is attached to the body with snaps.

Thanks to a one-click ISOFIX connection and a clever rotation mechanism， the seat can be turned from rearward- to forward-facing mode without having to reinstall the seat. At the same time， this function offers an easy entry and exit position.

This fan heater， with a wide operating range， quickly warms up the ambient temperature. As soon as the desired temperature is reached， the appliance switches off and it automatically restarts if a temperature drop is detected.

The Level 10 GT Snow Edition chassis picks up concepts from architecture. It displays rectangular-shaped elements that maximise the usable space without impairing general stability.

The firephant is self-explanatory and easy to use and can be quickly employed in an emergency. This fire extinguisher turns a product that was previously hidden away into a colorful object that makes an emblematic statement.

Kazmok re-use is a range of briefcases， trolleys， shopping and laptop bags， and accessories. The materials used are old conveyor belts made from rubber or PVC， which are not only extremely durable but also unique in terms of colour and texture.
