Abstract: The study explores the journey of the author, an English language teacher, towards the development of aconstructivist approach to English teaching. It analyzes the author' s teaching practice in English Through Culture, andthen summarizes a number of identifiable qualities of a constructivist approach, suggesting that constructivist ideas andstrategies be incorporated into language teaching practices.
