On July 16-17, China National Textile and ApparelCouncil (CNTAC)held two-day meeting to discussand analyze the economic performance for the firsthalf of 2009. The data now available only cover thefirst 5 months as the government statistics office onlygives out figures on quarterly basis. Delegations fromdifferent sectors of the textile industry flocked togetherto report the economic running and challenges to bedealt with respectively for cotton textile, wool textile,leaf fiber (linen , ramie, jute etc.) textile, man-madefiber, knitting(fabric and knit clothing), apparel(wovenclothing), textile machinery, tech-textile(including non-woven), home-textile businesses.
