預(yù)示未來(lái)？斷氣？

As the 10 o’clock deadline passes， the order comes from Moscow: shut down the gas to Ukraine.

The scene is almost identical to the one here three years ago， and， just like then， it’s a big worry for Europe. Ukraine is a crucial 1)hub for gas supplies across Europe. If the transit network is affected， first hit will be Poland. Eventually Western Europe， including France and Italy， could see supplies reduced. Russia says Europe has nothing to fear， but insists the blame for the crisis 2)lies with Ukraine.

Alexei Mills (Gazprom): Gazprom will continue supplying gas for its consumers in Europe at full volume. As far as gas supplies to Ukraine are concerned， we have no signed contract and so no legal basis to supply gas to them.

But this dispute is about much more than gas. This is 3)Kiev in 2004. The “Orange Revolution” sweeps Ukraine’s pro-Moscow government from power. Ever since， Russia has used gas as a tool to punish Ukraine’s leader for his 4)disloyalty.

This latest crisis has once again raised the question of whether Russia is a reliable energy supplier for Europe， and whether countries like Britain should be worried that the Kremlin is ready to use its vast energy resources as a political weapon.

此情此景幾乎是三年前同一幕的翻版，與當(dāng)年一樣，歐洲各國(guó)憂心忡忡。烏克蘭是全歐洲天然氣輸送的關(guān)鍵轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)點(diǎn)。如果這一輸送渠道受阻，首當(dāng)其沖的是波蘭，最終殃及整個(gè)西歐，包括法國(guó)和意大利等國(guó)的天然氣供應(yīng)量都會(huì)減少。俄羅斯稱歐洲無(wú)需為此擔(dān)心，但強(qiáng)調(diào)烏克蘭該為這場(chǎng)天然氣危機(jī)負(fù)責(zé)。

這次危機(jī)不禁讓人再次提出疑問(wèn)：俄羅斯是歐洲可靠的能源供應(yīng)國(guó)嗎？包括英國(guó)在內(nèi)的國(guó)家是否應(yīng)該擔(dān)心克里姆林宮已經(jīng)隨時(shí)準(zhǔn)備將其巨大的能源儲(chǔ)備作為政治武器？
