too many，too much和much too的意義和用法是不同的。要區分它們，關鍵要看其中心詞。 too many中的too是修飾詞，many是中心詞； too much中的too是修飾詞，much是中心詞； much too中的much是修飾詞，too是中心詞。因此，在使用時只需要考慮后一個詞的用法就足夠了。下面分述如下：

too many的用法與many相同，用來修飾復數可數名詞。例如：

Hes got too many questions to ask you. 他有很多問題要問你。

They bought too many eggs yesterday. 昨天他們買了太多的雞蛋。

too much的用法與much相同，用來修飾不可數名詞。例如：

We both have too much work to do. 我們倆都有很多工作要做。

The teacher told him not to spend too much time playing games. 老師叫他不要花太多的時間玩游戲。

Im afraid that Ive given you too much trouble. 恐怕我太麻煩你了。

另外，too much還可用作賓語，也可在句中用作狀語。例如：
