At the end of last century, Chinese people, who have justcome across with lots of new ideas and new fashions broughtfrom outside world, didn't realized that casual wear is one ofthe most important fashion elements in people's daily life.

About the Town of Shaxi

The town ofSha Xi lies in themiddle-southernpart of Zhujiangdelta, closelyattached to thecity of Zhongshan.With Guangzhou,the capital city ofGuangtong to hernorth, and HongKong, Macau to her south, this small town no more than 55square kilometers owns a population of 150 thousand localresidents, and 80 thousands out of them are emigrants to 87countries.

Closing to Hong Kong brings Sha Xi a wonderful chanceto catch the modem tide. The casual wear industry was invitedto this small town very quickly, and becomes the supportingindustry of the town.

After several years of development, by the year 2006, Shaxiowns 1,300 factories, offering jobs to 41.5 thousands people,producing 23.78 million dozens of clothes every year. It ownsa complete industrial chain from dyeing, printing, finishing,to buttons and textile machinery fittings. Meanwhile it ownsfabrics market, textile machinery market, and these convenientsurroundings attracted many famous brands including Crocodile(Hong Kong), S.M.W, Mark Cheung, FEEL 100%, to cometo Shaxi town and open up their new factories. There aremore than 5,000 shops in the town, together with research anddevelopment centers for fashion design, production technology,products inspection and advertisement.

About China's Casual Wear Fair (CHCW)

Started from 2000, the annual China's Casual Wear Fair hasbecome the largest and only Casual Wear Fair in China. CHCWhas five advantages:

A. The Cooperation of Casual Wear Industry: thecomplete textile industrial chain, professional markets, culturalbackground for apparel trade and the abilities of research anddevelopment, design, logistics will provide the factories andbrands a platform good enough for a splendid show.

B. Absolute Fashion: All the brands presented are the topcasual wear brands in China. During the fair the fashion trendwould also be released, and fashion would be the diva of thewhole fair.

C. Business-oriented: Production and logisticsservices are both ready to serve. The buyers fromChina and overseas have all kind of chances to meetand communicate with producers.

D. Mass-Communication Cooperation: Deepcooperation with media, information accessible to allother excellent exhibitions and fairs.

E. Creativity: During the fair there would be several highquality modern fashion show, and the famous designers wouldjoin the fair and bring their newest work.

On 19th, July, 2007, the news conference for the 8th China'sCasual Wear Fair was held in Beijing. During the conference,the organizing group of CHCW 2007 declared the 8th CHCWwill be held in the town of Shaxi, the casual wear center ofChina, at Xingbao International Exhibition Center. CHCWwould be held by China Apparel Association, China ApparelDesigners Council and Zhongshan Government.

The theme of CHCW 2007 is \"Fashion, Commerce,Professional, Innovation\".

In CHCW 2006, 3,450 contracts were successfully signed,turnover reached 30 billion, 1,407 investment projects weredealt. The fair attracted 260 thousands buyers from 30 countries,and more than one million professional audience.

CHCW 20007 will expand the exhibition size, and increasemore than 100 exhibiting booths. The whole exhibition ownsan exhibiting hall of 20 thousands square meters, 700 standardexhibiting seats.

The fair will also offer a fashion release hall of 2,300square meters, and hold several fashion trend release show forChina's casual wear. By now more than 100 enterprises havebooked 620 exhibiting booths, covering 88% of the total seats,among which more than 100 districts for T-shirts.

In 2007, the largest logistics enterprise in Asian-Pacificarea, who stocks textile and apparel products of three billiondollars, Lee-Fung Group, also joined the CHCW. At themeantime, there are also stock group from Europe, Americaand Africa. CHCW 2007 would guarantee all business andcommercial information be available for all the enterprisesinvolved.
