Ｔｈｅ Ｃｌｅｖｅｒ Ｒａｂｂｉｔ

In the forest there was a little rabbit. Everyone hated him because he was always doing badthings. They all wanted to catch him.

One day， the wolf said to the fox， \"We'llwork out a way to catch the rabbit. Tonight youlie on your bed. I shall tell him that you are dead.When the rabbit comes to see you， you canjump up and catch him.\" The fox agreed.The wolf phoned the rabbit， \"Is that MrRabbit? This is Wolf. I have a pieceof good news. The fox is dead.\"

\"Really? Sounds great!I'llcome and have a look.\"

The rabbit came. He lookedin through the window and sawthe fox was lying on the bed. Thefox's eyes were shut. The rabbitwanted to make sure whetherthe fox was really dead. So hesaid， \"Mr Wolf told me that MrFox was dead. But he doesn'tlook like a dead fox， because themouth of a dead fox was alwaysopen.\" The fox heard that. Andhe thought， \"I will make him be-lieve that I am dead.\" So heopened his mouth. When the rab-bit saw that， he knew that the foxwas not dead and that he was indanger. So he ran away quickly.
