感恩節

Thanksgiving Day is an

American holiday. It’s on the

fourth Thursday of November each year， it lasts for four days. 在這個節日里，舉國上下熱鬧非凡，人們按照習俗前往教堂做感恩祈禱，城鄉市鎮到處都有化裝游行、戲劇表演或體育比賽等。On the eve of Thanksgiving， all the family members will drive or fly back home. The next day they sit around a table， enjoying a large dinner together. 感恩節的食品富有傳統特色。Usually， they have roast turkey， sweet potatoes and pudding(布丁) for the big Thanksgiving supper. 火雞是感恩節的傳統主菜，通常是在火雞肚子里塞上各種調料和拌好的食品，然后整只烤出，由男主人用刀切成薄片分給大家。感恩節宴會后，人們經常會參加一些傳統活動，如摔跤、賽跑、唱歌、跳舞、推著南瓜賽跑等。多少年來，慶祝感恩節的習俗代代相傳，美國人提起這個傳統節日，總是倍感親切。
