2006年對于電腦繡花機企業來說是豐收的一年。無論是國內市場還是國際市場,對電腦繡花機的需求量仿佛一夜之間全都暴漲,根據協會對行業主要電腦繡花機生產企業的統計,2005年多頭繡花機產量與去年同期相比增長了43.31%。從2004年到2006年底,諸暨的電腦刺繡機生產企業從原來的30家發展到250余家,繡花機產量占全國總產量的45%左右,如今,諸暨一躍成為我國繡花機產業的重要生產基地,在國內已是三分天下有其一。

諸暨的企業可以和國內的科研單位、大專院校加強科研協作,使制造優勢與他們電腦控制的研發優勢很好地融合起來,同時把企業自己的科研機構建起來和強起來,探索與世界上電腦繡花機制造最先進的企業合資合作的可能性。這是電腦刺繡機產業向中國轉移的大勢所趨,也是他們自身實力能夠吸引他們來的魅力所在。

如今浣東街道在建技改項目有23只,其中千萬元以上項目17只。在改投入強勢推進的同時,浣東街道的自營出口也是一路高歌,尤其是電腦刺繡機行業,挑起了2006年自營出口的大梁。目前,街道共有自營出口企業23家,其中有3家企業在國外設立窗口5個。2006年前十月,街道電腦刺繡機行業實現自營出口達4200萬美元,同比增長70%。
Powerhouse of Computerized Embroidery Machines

Huandong Neighborhood in Zhuji, Zhejiang Province is the powerhouse of China’s computerized embroidery machines, accounting for 45% of the national total in 2006. Now the booming neighborhood is home to 250 manufacturers, a sharp increase from 30 in 2004. The overnight takeoff of the manufacturing industry of embroidery machines has been a fast response to the robust market demand both at home and abroad.
The local government has adopted favorable policies and the local industry itself has taken measures to boost quality, sales and services. These actions have contributed to the booming of the industry and will continue to play a crucial part in the continuation of the flourishing development.
The core technology and system integration are two crucial factors to boost the market share of the embroidery machines made in Zhuji. In order to boost the industry technologically, a complete range of policies has been released for technological innovation, business startup, capital, land use, facility construction, and collaboration with research institutions.
The key element in maintaining and raising the quality of embroidery machines lies in the quality of mechanical components and the precision of installation. In order to assure the quality of outsourced components, local manufacturers have established a quality inspection system and conduct rigorous inspections. The manufacturers have also developed a sound system to maintain a steady taskforce for machine installation, and a quality system to assure installation quality.

After-sale service is an important and indispensable factor for boosting the local industry. Many manufacturers have devoted resources to post-sale services. They provide training courses, set up maintenance outlets, provide door-to-door technical support, technical guidance, etc.
In order to further consolidate their market share and have a say in the industry, the manufacturers in Huandong Neighborhood are trying to make themselves heard and felt. They want to participate in formulating industrial standards, standardizing manufacturersiexcl;macr; production conducts, assuring quality and technical specifications, maintaining a favorable environment so that the manufactures have a better opportunity to survive and flourish, crack down on fake products, promote technological advances, and maintain the overall quality of the local manufacturing. To realize all these objectives, the embroidery-machine manufacturing industry in Zhuji has participated in formulating regulations and standards, invited leaders of professional organizations to inspect the local industry, and take part in exhibitions and sales promotions. They hope that this full exposure will enhance the standing of the industry.
So far, three manufacturers have set up sales outlets abroad. And 23 manufacturers are engaged in exporting their embroidery machines. By October 2006, the export volume had amounted to 42 million US dollars, a 70% increase year on year.
