《Engineering》期刊旨在提供一個高水平的工程科技重大成果發布與交流平臺，并探討工程科技發展的熱點和難點問題，展望工程科技發展未來等，以促進工程科技更快發展，更好造福于人類，創造更美好的未來。本期刊反映的成果應在科學發現的基礎上，通過創新形成新的生產力，推動具有重大經濟社會意義和世界先進水平的工程和產業的發展；特點是廣泛發動國際工程院和國內外著名工程科技界人士積極參加辦刊。具體刊登內容將是回顧總結、關注當前、展望未來的學術性文章，重點論述重大工程（或產業）成果、關鍵工程技術難點、工程科技發展方向、工程管理和工程教育等方面；新聞焦點、研究熱點；世界十大工程科技進展等。
